    • Here is my read on TA for MFLX. Daily chart is showing me the drifting action. This tells me wait. Price needs to get over 35.00. From a weekly perspective I see possible area of interest outlined by the bottom blue lines on chart.

        Hang on MILDRED!

Stop the presses! MFLX seems to have made a bottom and is headed NORTH!
We must watch the volume today. I suspect after Bernard speaks, we will have some action on this one. Inverted head and shoulders shows a $5+ target. Mildred, let's get with it!

                MFLX makes me sad

Waitasec, I thought MFLX would stop giving guidance...

In accordance with the company's policy to provide earnings guidance for the upcoming quarter with the reporting of its quarterly financial results, Harding said that M-Flex expects its net sales for the third quarter ending June 2006, to range between $126 million and $136 million and net income for the same period of between $12.2 million and $13.6 million. Harding further announced that due to regulatory requirements in Singapore pertaining to the use of guidance during an offer period, M-Flex has concluded that it must temporarily suspend its guidance policy during the remainder of the MFS offer period. "Due to the Singaporean regulatory requirements, we will temporarily put on hold our policy of providing quarterly guidance until the offer for MFS shares is either completed or terminated. We look forward to resuming our established guidance policy as soon as possible and expect to be able to do so for the second quarter of fiscal 2007," Harding said.

A fresh look at it today suggests 10.00 support.

                        Lye,
I would say, no, FA did not trump TA here. I would also say I am wrong often enough, that's for sure. But If you refer to my post here, I said, "We must watch the volume here."

To illustrate what I meant, here is the entire article on head and shoulders bottoms. An important quote is copied below:

Volume: While volume plays an important role in the head and shoulders top, it plays a crucial role in the head and shoulders bottom. Without the proper expansion of volume, the validity of any breakout becomes suspect. Volume can be measured as an indicator (OBV, Chaikin Money Flow) or simply by analyzing the absolute levels associated with each peak and trough.

Volume levels during the first half of the pattern are less important that in the second half. Volume on the decline of the left shoulder is usually pretty heavy and selling pressure quite intense. The intensity of selling can even continue during the decline that forms the low of the head. After this low, subsequent volume patterns should be watched carefully to look for expansion during the advances.

The advance from the low of the head should show and increase in volume and/or better indicator readings (e.g. CMF > 0 or strength in OBV). After the reaction high forms the second neckline point, the right shoulder's decline should be accompanied with light volume. It is normal to experience profit-taking after an advance. Volume analysis helps distinguish between normal profit-taking and heavy selling pressure. With light volume on the pullback, indicators like CMF and OBV should remain strong. The most important moment for volume occurs on the advance from the low of the right shoulder. For a breakout to be considered valid, there needs to be an expansion of volume on the advance and during the breakout.

I write this for our instruction. MFLX at no time exceeded average daily volume as it rose from neckline.

                          MOT Beats

Breaking news: Motorola (MOT) beats the street and posts a very strong sales number for the quarter.

This should bode well for MFLX, no?

Bloomberg channel reported that MOT beat the street on increased sales of Razor phones among other things.
