The Street votes with its feet, Ernie. A nasty bearish engulfing bar with more than 3X ADV means some very smart people don't think the move was well thought out.

Classic example of double top getting sold. It's got 39.40 and 29.19 gaps down there. Caution dudes. Good luck anyone long.

The merger will be accretive to earnings and diversify their risk by offering the company more retail outlets for their products. It's classic horizontal integration at a reasonable price.

"some very smart people" ain't so smart. Your "very smart people" are weak sellers looking for a reason to take profits. Good riddance to them...none but the brave I say.

This is why I’m still bull on MFLX. Thus far short-term trend is still intact. Now I’ll move in the bear camp if current low does not hold. If violated with confirmation I’d expect a possible return move to last reaction low

Weak sellers? Those were mutual funds and hedge funds selling, Ernie...it doesn't get much stronger than that Whether they're right or wrong, they move the stock, not you or I.

And what's wrong with taking profits? Didn't you every time you sold what became your 81 winners?

Here is my slop chart showing my bias of why I’m Bull MFLX. Astute traders might have locked in profits on the breach of the blue bull line.

                  Runner,
"Astute traders took profits once the blue line was breached--"
That's very true, except the blue line was breached SEVEN trading days ago. (I agree that smart cookies jumped ship then, because I posted on this thread that doji signaled the end of the momo. read about it here). But that's a full 10 days ago . . . in other words, that isn't why the stock took a $6 dump today. It was today's news.

You are a very astute trader, imo. But I disagree with you here. I do understand your "highs to lows" support line--they work pretty good. But the PnF says $53--and yup, PnF charts can be wrong sometimes--but today's action via Dow Theory says that today's $6+ drop is only the start, and there is at least a $6+ more dump to come.

What I am trying to say is that I am surprised that you are still a bull on MFLX. Dow Theory, the huge (over 10%) gap down, screams that the momo is gone. Time to make other plans besides a long on this one, imo.

Best to you, Runner, and to all.

NBB, I’ll change my stance if and when the bull line is taken. I’m not in this stock at present and just wanted to illustrate that despite today’s tanking from negative news I believe the trend is in tact. It is possible that some might view this return as a buying op. After all the market has a crazy way of surprising us even with bad news.. We shall see soon enough. The wide range bar is ominous and very well my signal a change in moods Like I said I’ll change my bias on it accordingly. NB as far as the PnF charts I have not a clue about them and have never used them..

Let me re-phrase. This company is undervalued. Better?

                        There wasn't any negative news.

It sure sounds better And I want to apologize to you if my post sounded like I enjoyed the pullback. I am not wishing ill to you or any one else long in MFLX. I want you to make money. If I enjoyed anything it was that my read of the chart was correct, and is helping me make better entries/exits. But I do not wish to offend MM or any other forumite. I want to be a help and not a hinderance, and in the future I am going to make an effort to come across in a more gentle way. My sincerest apologies to you, MM.

You are correct. It was just like the Cans: all news is bad news except a dividend increase. By that I mean all news about a Canadian Royalty Trust is sold, except when they increase the dividend. And in the Cans, the pullback is the very best place to buy. Sell the news; buy the rumor.

no offense taken. With every trade in the market, there are two people who have different opinions on where a stock is going. Keep up the good work.
