thanks for your reply Adman. I do appreciate your pics. I believe I picked MU from a pile of yours and it made me a nice bit of money. Thanks!

Adman,
Just my two cents worth here. Please don't feel that you must qualify, track, document everything you wish to offer any more than you have been doing. Your last post about the quality of your pics says enough.
What you've been doing already has been terrific and greatly appreciated. I'd rather you continue with that then have you be caused to feel like this is just too darn much trouble, thereby allowing the board to kill a goose that lays some wonderful golden eggs.
(now don't anybody bother to jump on me for that, cuz i'll just ignore ya anyways.)

I am still on vacation, so I don’t have anything formal prepared for today, but have my eye on GES and AJL, and will have my reasons prepared on Monday
Skiracer: No sweat, no offence was taken there at all, I felt compelled to re-clarify how I make my picks, and the reasons I don’t buy everything I pick.
Lyehopper: Please view my posts as a newsletter, not as an overview of my actually portfolio.
Noshlady: Thank you for the kind words, and I am glad that you, along with others were able to benefit from my musings.
Everyone: Have a fantastic weekend! I am heading to the Jazz Fest in New Orleans.

Adman,
Great to have dialogue without anger. Thanks for your imput and concern about how others look at things. I do like your style and vacation destinations. I'm a big jazz buff from the fortys to the present day.THE SKIRACER'S EDGE: MAKE THE EDGE IN YOUR FAVOR

Here is a quick view of my picks here, since March 1 (about when I came on board).
I have written up 85 stocks, which have an average return close to 10%, in that time frame.
The winners ranged from 196% to a mere .47% return.
Of the 85, I had 12 down picks that ranged from a negative 0.09% to negative 11.31%, with the 11.3% being the only double digit looser. Five of the 12 are down 2% or less (just by pennies on some) and 6 of the 12 had positive returns as high as 5.2% after I posted them, before retreating to negative territory.
Using a purchase quantity of 100, if a person bought every one of my picks, they would have invested a total of $228, 037 and would be realizing a profit of $22,675.
I hope this is of help to some of you, and remember, as I have stated time and time again, I merely post stocks that I think have decent potential for you to add to your research list, I don’t post “must buy” type stocks.
BTW, out of the 85, I went long in 21 of them, for a total return of 29.82%, and for the record, I am on NGEN with that 11.38% loss.
I know it's messy looking, but that's the best I can do on the fly, I could not get the spreadsheet to copy properly, but here is how to read it, from left to right:
Symbol, Current price, Price on the day I posted, total dollar gain, total percentage gain and current market value, if you bought a hundred shares.
I hope this is transparent enough for you, and this is the first and only time I am going to do this, as i really don't give a **** what you think, if you don't like my picks, then don't read the thread.

Transparancy Comment....
Adman.... If you go back and read my comment about "transparancy" I was "blabbering" to my drinkin' buddy Skiracer about a generalized comment he had made.... and not to you directly.
But I'll assume that your "F" word comment was directed at me.... But that's ok I get cursed at all the time, I'm used to it....
It seems like you did a lot of work posting all that data.... The problem I have with your list is there are no dates and you failed to annualize the returns.... $$MM$$ and me (btw, we are known in financial circles as "the masters of transparancy") always provide much more details of our trades and we always annualize our returns.... What I see here just dosen't mean alot to me dude. I suggest you make an Excel Spreadsheet and post the list from that like I do.
Also you told me that you played SIRF short, I don't see it on the list. How did that trade work out for you? Spikefader mopped up on it. Details of his SIRF short play can be viewed on BillyJoe's POTW thread.... He's HUUUUGELY transparent too btw.BEEF!... it's whats for dinner!

I want to make it clear that I wasn't singling out Adman individually. Jim Smith and DSteckler were also part of that comment. But it was just a comment about how I feel about throwing out any number of stocks that look good with just a cute little remark and nothing much else. Personally I could care less what kind of degrees, how many, brokerage positions, or whatever else someone might have going for themselves. I just want some type of solid concrete technical or fundamental analysis to back things up. Some type of plan or strategy is always.
When you come to a public forum like this these comments go with the territiory. Are we just a bunch of lemmings or without any sophistication whatsoever that we have to just accept anything anyone tells us. That's BS in my book an other than the fact that it was never my intention for this to go this far I could care less if Adman stays or leaves. He is the only one here who knows how much he can deal with inside of his psyche an apparently he has had to much of whatever that is.
BTW one of my best friends from high school days has a son. He is now the head basketball coach at Princeton. Is that as good as a degree from there? I know I could most likely get tickets to the games. Adman an I might be there sitting next to one another and not even know it. Wouldn't that be kick ass.THE SKIRACER'S EDGE: MAKE THE EDGE IN YOUR FAVOR

freedom to choose
Adman, while I do not contribute to this board with posting, I will let you, and remind everyone, that there are a lot of humble readers that truly appreciate absorbing the Mr. Market Board as a whole. I for one have been putting Adman's posts high on my list to read. I take everyone's picks for what they are worth to me; which is that they are someone elses picks that I can research and possibly build my own picks from.
There are so many different strategies, and while more information (and transparency) contributes to my own decision making, I do not expect anything from anyone here, as the final decision to trade or not to trade is mine.
I have paid for pricey subscriber services, read a lot of books, and have learned from my past good and bad choices. Your posts, along with everyone elses (technical chartists or not), for whatever they are worth to me, always help me make my own informed choices.
Some wondering how you do it, and want more? Some disagreeing with your style? Well, I think we all live with that in every aspect of our lives. Everyone should practice empathy. Even here. When it comes down to it, on this board, Ernie has given us the pallette to paint what we want, and you certainly have contributed to my own freedom to choose. That is HUGE!
I want to thank all of those whom continue to consistently take the time and effort to share with me, by posting their knowledge and opinions to this board.
Keep On Keepin' On;
-Adam
