Paid $2.79 for a tank of regular last week.

This week I have to fill my car and it uses
premium. That's going to be a fun bill; I'll let
you know what that costs after I'm finished
                crying.

My wife and I went to the local plant nursery on Saturday. When we passed our local Citgo, 87 octane was $2.899. Upon return 45 minutes later, it was $2.999.

                        Geesh!

My Passat uses 91 octane minimum, so I'm going to start a half-and-half mix of 89/93.
                        Happy investing,
                        Dave

My opinion is worth no more than the price you paid for me to give it.

Be very careful. The hammer-like shock waves created by detonation subject the head gasket, piston, rings, spark plug and rod bearings to severe overloading. Repairs would cost more than the higher octane gas . . . .

I'm putting a new set of tires on my old 93 Saturn this week. I figure, I'll save enough on gas to pay for the tires. The Saturn gets 36 mph while my truck gets 19 mph.

The Saturn ain't cool like my truck...but I'll survive...I guess...
