I have 35 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Register for free and you'll be able to post messages on this forum and also receive emails when $$$ MR. MARKET $$$ makes his own trades. ($$$MR. 07:24 IMCL Imclone: Stanford provides update on new CEO (30.36 )
Stanford notes IMCL announced that it has appointed John Johnson as the new CEO, effective August 27, 2007. Firm views the new CEO's strong commercialization experience a timely addition to IMCL as it expands the Erbitux franchise with BMY. Firm believes the new CEO will bring commercial experience and stability to IMCL. As IMCL's clinical pipeline advances to Phase 2, it will gain investor recognition as it starts to generate proof-of-concept data in 2008. Key catalysts in next 6-12 months include: 1) sBLA filing and compendia listing of Erbitux for 1st/2nd line use in CRC, 2) FLEX preliminary Phase 3 results in NSCLC by year end.
Yes, Riverbabe, the company finally hired a new CEO. That has been one of those clouds hanging over the comapny for quite some time. Personally I was hoping they would snag Susan D. Hellman from Genentech. I know nothing of this Johnson guy, but I feel relatively confident that Carl Icahn would not have stood for it if he didn't think Johnson could effectively take the helm.
Imclone appoints John Johnson Chief Executive Officer (30.44 -1.51)
Co announces that that it has appointed John Johnson as its Chief Executive Officer, effective August 27, 2007. Prior to being appointed as Johnson & Johnson's Company Group Chairman of Worldwide Biopharmaceuticals in April 2005, Johnson served as President of Ortho Biotech Products. In his new position as ImClone's Chief Executive Officer, Johnson will purchase $500,000 of the company's common stock.
I almost had to sell my first born to get 3 points out of MSFT in a year. Those videos remind me of when I went to termite school to learn selling extermination jobs for a big national company.

Wait a minute! Bill Gates hired this innovative communicator years ago!
What's really scarily attractive about GOOG is that they have so many ideas in the pipeline. It seems like they have tentacles that can touch every aspect of the PC, the internet, and internet commerce.
The question I have to ask was what the heck has MSFT been doing for the last 5 yrs????
MSFT has too much cash on hand...they try these wacko things that never work...Personally, I think Bill Gates should retire in his glory and hire some innovative people to run the show
Yes, I'm still holding my GOOG shares. As I said the last time, 600 is not a matter of if but when.
When it hits 600 I may sell ... depends on what's going on at the time.

Rob,
If I remember correctly you're a GOOG supporter. Are you still holding? I've got it in 3 accounts and am tempted to sell out of 1 or 2. Don't want to sound greedy but this will be the 2nd time I've got over 100 points out of it. This will never happen again in my lifetime.

It ain't like it used to be Tatnic. Kids today are raised on video games and not taught to do any physical work. They're (by and large) pretty worthless as farm labor and way too soft to pick up square bales all day in the hot sun.... it's sad!
That BaleBandit is great, but it costs about $60k so you have to make a LOT of square bales to justify buying it. http://www.balebandit.com/
Here's a slick little accumulator that'll only cost you about $13k (including the pickup forks and loader brkt) There's a demo video on this website.... http://www.hoelscherinc.com/indexhay.htm
BTW, good horse hay is going for about $6 per square bale today (18x18x40).... A productive piece of bottom land (properly maintained) can yeild about 250-300 bales per acre (per season) so 100 acres can yeild around $150-180k.... I know a fella in Georga that makes 250,000 square bales per year. He uses a "Rebaler" or "Unroller", converting his round bales into square bales as needed.... He uses this machine (about $35-40k including setup & engine) http://www.simpsonunroller.com/
That's some decent money...
Last time I bought some baled stuff it was straw for some site work I'd done around the house. $5/bale, about the same as horse hay up heya anyway. There are still alot of hay fields around these parts but rarely do you see many square bales...its all big rounders with the plastic wrap.
Heck, if I could find a farmer up here still baling square ones I'd volunteer to help him out, just for the excercise (or at least trade for some fresh beef for my labors, or fresh lamb...no horse meat thanks.
