          Doug,
You win the "Deep Thinker" award for Stevenson not being President and I'll give you 1/2 credit for Buchanan since Vice President William King (1853) was never married and called "Nancy" by Andrew Jackson. You don't get anything for Van Buren but nice try. The "Brainiac" award goes unclaimed so far . It isn't really a trick answer or is it? I'd say not.

            I got it...

James Madison is the only one on the list that weighed under 100lbs.

                  Doug,
You are Huge ! A winner of the rarely given "brainiac" award also you get extra gold stars for the Madison-- under 100 pound answer and what the heck another one for Buchanan--- bachelor answer. If you can tell me what future U.S. vice- president and future President lived together for several years under suspicious conditions I'd really be impressed.

More billyjoe useless trivia. I may have unknowingly spoken to President Hoover's son Allan in person and once on the phone never connecting him with Herbert. This person owned a watch fob factory among other businesses and was about the right age and died at about the same time as the President's son, but I can't find enough info on Allan Hoover to confirm it.

                      Doug,
You're too fast. See, I edited the post one minute too late to include the
"future vice president and future President". You have a very high rate of comprehension.

Maybe you can help me on my latest Presidential trivia quest. So far I've found 9 U.S. Presidents that have been shot during their lifetime and think there may be more. Andrew Jackson is one of the most interesting characters. He was the only President to have been a prisoner of war , received a sword wound , and reportedly beat the crap out of a would be assassin who's shot missed.

                        Presidential History is pretty interesting.

Ever herad of the ZERO factor???...I first read about it in a hardcover Ripley's Believe It Or Not Book that my Mom has...Copyright early 30's...It states that all US Presidents elected in a year ending in a 0 never left office alive since 1840...Then they have 1940???...

Well, Roosevelt didn't and then Kennedy kept the streak alive...I remember when Reagan got shot...The first thing that popped into my mind when I heard it was the Zero Factor...But he snapped the streak.

Here is an interesting article about it: http://explorers.whyte.com/curse.htm

As far as shot...I'd have to look that up...But FORD did a pretty good job of dodging bullets.

But here is the Weirdest "Shot" Deal w/ Presidents:

Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.
Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960
Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.
Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.
Both Presidents were shot in the head.

                        Lincoln’s secretary was named Kennedy.
                        Kennedy’s Secretary was named Lincoln.
                        Both were assassinated by Southerners.
Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.
Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.
John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939
Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

Lincoln was shot at the theater named ‘Ford.’
Kennedy was shot in a car called ‘Lincoln’ made by ‘Ford.’
Lincoln was shot in a theater and his assassin ran and hid in a warehouse.
Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and his assassin ran and hid in a theater.
Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.

A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland
A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.

                          Doug,
Marilyn Monroe died in August 1962 she couldn't have been with Kennedy in Nov. 1963.
In addition to the assassinated Presidents and Reagan , these 4 also were shot : Monroe , Jackson , and Hayes in wars and Theodore Roosevelt while campaigning after being President.Actually Ford only dodged one bullet from Sara Moore in 1975 , 17 days after Squeaky Fromme failed to get off a shot from her '45.

I live about 18 miles from the Rutherford Hayes Presidential library. A display contains a letter written to then President Hayes from schoolboy Theodore Roosevelt. Amazing that it was saved since nobody knew who Roosevelt was in the 1880's. That got me to wondering how many future Presidents came into contact with sitting Presidents as unknowns. I've seen footage of Clinton as a high schooler shaking Pres. Kennedy's hand. Interesting stuff in my opinion.

Wow, sorry I wasn't here to participate in the Presidential history trivia stuff, although I wouldn't have known that stuff off the top of my head. Billy, what are you doing? Preparing to go on Jeopardy or something? U.S. Presidents for 800, Alex.

Doug, it seems you like to take people to visit the sites of infamous, grisly murders. It wasn't that long ago when you mentioned having taken some people to Nicole Simpson's condo. Maybe that means something, but if so I'm not sure what.
