If I had any ambition and if wasn't -10 degrees tomorrow I'd be ice fishing something I've not done for more than 40 years.

This looks exactly like my neighborhood. We've totally run out of space to put it all. Remember my mouse in the house in September? I predicted a long hard winter. But I really hoped it wouldn't come true.

Its fun screwing around with the marijuana stocks but it amazes me how much stuff there is in the local papers about the licenses. There was a big deal about a former candidate for governor (Scott Harshbarger) being a paid consultant. Later a couple of local pols claiming they had been mislead in endorsing some applicants. Allegations of false stuff on applications. People campaigning against locating the dispensaries in various places. Other stuff I don't remember 'cuz I don't read the articles. But almost everyday there are new front page articles or followups or editorials. Just amazing.

Meteorologists predict a fast-moving snowstorm thru our area tonight into tomorrow - heavy snow predicted. Remined me of this:

I'll admit this is weird but kind of fun and definitely off topic. My son posted a picture of his eye on a site called deviant art 13 years ago. He recently found his eye as the #3 eye that comes up if you google "eye" then images. How does he know it's his eye you may ask. He's an artist and keeps a record or portfolio of everything. https://www.google.com/search?q=eye&...w=1680&bih=880

Looking out at the 2" on my deck and the whiteout out the front, can this really be happening? This is March 29th! Enough already! Damned mice! My daffodils and tulips are really struggling. We need some relief here!!

Weirdly interesting! His eye is quite distinctive in the mix. Only a couple of real green, like mine. LOL

                            Message for Karel

I am trying to search for a specific word, for example, bollinger. I was hoping that the search would return the post that had the word in it. All I get is a thread (sometimes containing 100's of posts) that I do not wish to go through. Can this be done?

Also, when I put my username into the search and click the checkbox "exact name" I expected only posts that I made - but that is not true. What does this mean?

Also, below are two messages I get at the top of my screen when I do a search. Thank you.

                              Hello mimo,

it used to be possible, searching for a word and checking "return posts" (instead of
threads), but for some no doubt boring reason those checkboxes have vanished.
It doesn’t get much better than executing such a search, opening a thread and
then use "Search in thread". Then those check boxes magically reappear and you
will be able to view single posts as the result.

Your next question has the same boring reason as the previous: you will find all
threads in which you have participated. Fun, but useless, in most cases. But
there is another way to search for your (or anyone else’s) posts: Click on the
user name in the message and choose View posts, or go to Community > Member
List and open the page for the member you want to search for.

Those messages are awe-inspiring. I haven’t the faintest idea what is going on.
It might solve your problem, or it might be something else entirely. Either way,
                              I am stumped.

                              Regards,

                              Karel

                                Karel,

Thanks for the details - it was much simpler before - and now it is a bit clumsy and time-consuming but eventually I found what I was looking for.
