A 90 year old man in West Dennis, MA complained to police that a prostitute he had hired stole a valuable necklace from his residence. Police informed the man that if they charged the girl with larceny they would have to charge him with soliciting for prostitution. A police lieutenant said "he used harsher terms but basically he said that was fine". Both appeared for arraignment in Orleans District Court on Tuesday. The woman was indeed arraigned but charges against the man were dismissed due in part to the fact that he appeared unable to hear what the judge was saying.

No dictionary has ever been able to define the difference

Samsundar Balgobin, a Guyanese, was the clever winner.
His final challenge was this. Some say there is no difference
between 'Complete' and 'Finished.' Please explain the difference in a way that is easy to understand.
His response was: When you marry the right woman, you are 'Complete.'
If you marry the wrong woman, you are 'Finished.' And, when the right woman catches you with the wrong woman, you are 'Completely Finished.'
His answer received a five minute standing ovation.

Heard a story about Babe Ruth's funeral, 8/16/48 or thereabouts. It was a brutally hot day and as The Babe's friends carried his casket from the church one said "I'd give anything for a cold one right now." At which point another friend gestured to the casket and said "What do suppose he'd give?"
