FOOD FOR THOUGHT!
Change Your Thinking :
It will take just 37 seconds to read this and change your thinking..
Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room.
One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs.
His bed was next to the room's only window.
The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back
The men talked for hours on end
They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation..
Every afternoon, when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.
The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and colour of the world outside.
The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake
Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every colour and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.
As the man by the window described all this in exquisite details, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine this picturesque scene.
One warm afternoon, the man by the window described a parade passing by.
Although the other man could not hear the band - he could see it in his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.
Days, weeks and months passed.
One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep.
She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away.
As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.
Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside.
He strained to slowly turn to look out the window besides the bed.
It faced a blank wall..
The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window.
The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall.
She said, 'Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you.'
Epilogue:
There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations.
Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled.
If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can't buy.
'Today is a gift, that is why it is called The Present .'
The origin of this letter is unknown, but it brings good luck to everyone who passes it on.
Do not keep this letter.
I pray you will forward it to all your friends to whom you wish God's blessings.

Tech Tip How to Add Currency Symbols to Text in Android By J. D. BIERSDORFER
Press-and-hold shortcuts will reveal numerous characters on both the ABC and ?123 keyboards, including the symbols for the euro, the peso and the yen.
Q. Do you need a special keyboard to make a euro symbol on Android 6.0?
A. The standard keyboard that comes with most versions of Android includes the euro symbol (€), but that character is not immediately visible. When you are tapping out an email message or other text and need to insert the euro sign, tap the ?123 key in the lower-left corner of the keyboard.
In the second row of numbers and symbols, press and hold your finger on the dollar-sign key. Above your finger, a box will pop up showing several currency symbols; these include the peso, the euro, the cent sign, the pound sterling and the yen. Without lifting your finger from the screen, slide to the euro symbol and then pull your finger off the glass to insert the character into the text. (Apple’s iOS 9 keyboard tucks currency characters away in a similar place under the dollar sign and includes the Korean won symbol for good measure.)
Android 6.0 includes other press-and-hold shortcuts that supply additional characters to its on-screen keyboard. By pressing the question mark and exclamation point symbols, you can get the inverted versions used in Spanish. Pressing keys in the number row reveals available fraction characters. On the regular ABC keyboard, pressing characters in the top row of the QWERTY keys leads to shortcuts for numbers or accented vowels. Other letters that also take accents in certain languages (like a, c and n) show their alternate versions when you press down on them.
As an alternative method, when you are on the ?123 keyboard, tap the ~[emoji collection.

How crazy is the powerball lottery? I had to wait in line yesterday at my small town grocery store (population <1000) while ladies pushing grocery carts with handicapped kids were buying $10 worth of tickets. No, I wasn't buying lottery tickets. When it was just 300 million someone figured the odds of winning were equal to the odds of a coin thrown from a plane flying randomly over Ohio landing in your outstretched hand in your backyard. If you want to know the actual winners try to find out the salaries of the top lottery officials in your state. Sure, a few cents get to your local school district. Don't count on these billions to lower your taxes.

The store I go to has 2 lottery machines plus every conceivable scratch off ticket. Unbelievable how people just keep on buying these lottery tickets all day long. I bought 2 Powerball Tickets and only had "ONE" Number correct!

For those of you that don't know much about David Bowie or don't care. Listen to this Bowie song played by Rick Wakeman former keyboard player for the group Yes. I saw Bowie and Wakeman in separate concerts in 1973 and '74. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jogv7tD18gs

With all the turmoil in the stock markets and around the world....it may be time for a little levity. In other words "JOKE TIME!"
The "AFFAIR"
A middle-aged couple had two beautiful daughters
but always talked about having a son.
They decided to try one last time
for the son they always wanted.
The wife got pregnant
and delivered a healthy baby boy.
The joyful father rushed to the nursery
to see his new son.
He was horrified at the ugliest child
he had ever seen.
He told his wife: 'There's no way I can
be the father of this baby.
Look at the two beautiful daughters I fathered!
Have you been fooling around behind my back?'
The wife smiled sweetly and replied:
'Not this time!'

Phoenix, Bob Evans was the 2nd stock I ever owned. Must have been in 1969. I used to compare all the sausage varieties at the time. Only Jimmy Dean's came close to Bob Evans. Others had such high fat content they would shrink by up to 75% during cooking. Bought Bob Evans for 17 sold at 34. They only had 4 restaurants. Mr. Evans was very conservative.
