I thought that this was the bragging thread for a minute

My favorite popcorn are the half-popped kernals that are super crunchy and a little burnt

That's nice...reminds me of a story back in the early 80's about my "Idiot" 1st wife...She took regular popcorn...put it in a paper bag...then put it in the microwave...Small fire ensued....I divorced her...But not because of that...IIC

Check out tradesports.com definitely a cool idea.
You can trade future contracts on all kinds of stuff. For example whether the republicans will win the senate or not.

Gwhiz...I had an online gambling site...it was filled w/ afilliate programs...I know that site well...I never made much though....too much competition...The US gov is really down on internet gambling...I've read too much about it to post here...I was careful to keep myself only at the shutdown level...not the prosecution level.

However, the US gov recently made it illegal for US banks to process payments to these offshore internet gambling entities via credit cards...Search for the owner of PartyPoker.com...She was the daughter of a San Francisco Porno 900 # guy...she worked for him and then organized PP...She got nailed...But in the end she still walked away w/ $1.5 bil...Guess all those suits she lost were just "A cost of doing biz"

Mary, that animated stickman is cool! I'll bet it originated in Japan.

Doug, after reading your post about where drivers are from, I can't get a certain Alanis Morissette song out of my head ....... if you don't get this joke, then you probably don't know the song.

Only song I can remember by her off the top of my head is "Ironic"...Something about a trafiic jam and meeting the man of her dreams...And then meeting his wife...Isn't it ironic?...That's about all I can remember of the song though...Doug

                    Rob,
Didn't she have a song where she had one hand on the steering wheel and the other one giving the peace sign?

                      • Interesting news about new use for silver metal

Silver commodity lovers take note. A clever fellow has licensed a technique of embedding very small amout of silver in the cloth for sports-oriented apparel to reduce stinkiness and offer anti-microbial benefits.

In this part of Ohio and probably many other places as well, 10 year payback adjustable home equity loans are approximately 8.75% while 30 year fixed rate mortgage loans are approx. 6.25%. To put this in perspective say you owed 52k with your equity loan and wanted to pay it off and borrow 65k at the 6.25% rate. As long as you had at least 50% equity in your house, you'd pocket 13k and lower your payment by nearly $100 per month. Not too shabby and if you go through the right institution you'll have no pre payment penalty. This shows the difference a percentage point or two can make. Refinance charges were figured into the new payment.
