This evening I went to the church hall to watch the Patriots' game, hosted by Father Jerry, nattily attired in his Pats' T-shirt, sweats and sneakers and, I thought, looking quite stout in that relaxed get-up. Anyway late in the game, probably after the 6PM mass ended in the church next door, a 35ish very pretty woman with white blond hair showed up accompanied by a little girl and at one point the woman went over to father Jerry and was giving him this toothy grin and kind of stroking his arm. I just had to laugh watching her buttering up the priest but he is, I thought, a man, and he most probably enjoyed it.
    a straight priest...that's an oxymoron ain't it?
    How 'bout them Pats!

Either this is a legitimate up move with more new highs to come facilitated by lower rates and oil prices or just end of quarter window-dressing in which case fear of a hard landing will take us back down. If I had to guess I'd say we'll be higher at year end than we are now.
You must be referring to the Bradley turn date on the 11th, eh? The next one is on Thanksgiving day. But then we're supposed to hit the 4 year cycle low at or near the end of the year and then, according to Nenner, 2007 will be a strong year in the US markets. For this to happen rates have to start dropping or at least the FED has to turn dovish for that to happen.

Also...Sentiment Trader has said that over the past 20 years whenever a high in the SP500 is not confirmed by a high in the NDX, the markets have lost an average of 3.4% (not sure over what time frame though).

Lastly, I have a pretty much fool proof indicator--at least over the past few years-- whenever I visit the mother-in-laws in NY I have a good market experience...I'm currently net short and due to visit Friday and Monday.

        Imagine My Surprise!

Imagine my surprise when I logged onto the $$$Mr. Market$$$ site this morning and discovered that there had been no posts to Louetta's thread in over 24 hours!

What the heck is happening? This is most unusual.

Well for one thing I missed this rally. One position I do have is my options on HSOA which has been taking a porking the past few days after showing some signs of life.

Its been my experience that who is doing the porking is an important consideration, both physically and emotionally.

The only thing I ever had that even compared was some barbequed fish that I had in Shanghai. I just wish it wouldn't have stared at me while I was eating it.

I've got 8 prime double french cut lamb chops on the grille right now with a six pack of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale in the freezer getting real cold. 6 ears of jersey white corn in the pot boiling. I like to sear them burnt up a little bit on the outside and then turn the heat down low and slow cook them for about another 20 mins.
