WOW!!!! Those lower price may never come. I hope some members got in and are banking some gains. I missed it completely.

It's been working great, Doug. The slow sto's at those settings rounds out the noise that the fast sto's were picking up and giving me false signals. The NGA chart is a great example of the slow sto's giving me better buy and sell signals. I tweaked the setting by looking at the major indices and some stocks that I knew pretty well. I do not have an exact accuracy rate, but I would estimate about 65% accuracy. It doesn't work as well on choppy charts, so you can just ignore the signals on such charts like AEY. But, smoother charts work great!

    because that's where it belongs

I didn't say it was respectable...I'm guessing they don't want to play by the nazdaq rules.

Is it still too late to get in? The volume really seems to be pouring in now that the company seems to be legitimate. The latest earnings were impressive.

Thank you Spike! What I find even more interesting is that this is a mixed basket of 52 stocks (now 51- CGA was bought by TATA Steel) The index wasn't based on any TA entry points, or giving more weight to different companies. This is just 52 stocks that are directly involved in the Steel Industry, and $1000 was assigned to each stock at the beginning of the year. So this is just a raw return of the PSI- no fandangling, or moving money, or setting stops- just buy and hold at its finest, and I think it represents the possible gains that the Steel Industry offered this first quarter fairly well.

What I was hoping for, and I do seem to be failing miserably with this, was to open some members' eyes to the Steel Industry here. I'm not sure that people realize what is going on in the industrial sector, and I thought I could help some people make some money off of the very strong performance in this and related sectors. If one person gained anything from what I have posted, I'll be happy.

I wasn't targeting a certain performance for the PSI for 2007, but I wanted to track it as a whole and hopefully offer some insight to the underlying factors of our economy. My statement of "up 14.5% in 3 months" was an attempt to hopefully have some members dig a little deeper into what I am trying to convey here- you know, invoke a thought process and hopefully some dialogue. Unfortunately, my attempts are met with poor results time and time again. Or at least, IF someone did gain anything from this, I did not hear about it. But, I do appreciate your response, Spike.
