USLM is much more than just a pure mining play. It is linked to steel (major customer and the reason for additional capacity coming online in the coming quarter) and natural gas also. That's what the "NG" is. They have property directly above The Barnett Shale gas and oil formation in Texas. They have 6 operating wells (I think in Johnson County) and have just applied to drill a 7th. One of the biggest costs to running the type of lime operation that USLM has, is natural gas. They will not only have enough gas to use in their kilns, but also enough to sell on the market, with the reserves just barely being tapped currently- so more wells will continue to come on line. It's all in their quarterly and annual reports...

I really hope that SOMEONE on this board reacted to this message. I am very dissapointed that I do not have very many people behind me on these trade ideas that I post. I am getting discouraged. I really like to lead, and I'm good at it, but it seems that I have no followers here.

My only consolation is my personal portfolio...
There may be a good number of people who are following your lead by researching your picks and plays and if they're a good fit for them they're probably playing them. I've been reading all of your posts for two reasons. I'm finding that after looking at their charts many of your selections are worthwhile and I have ended up trading them and make money of some of them. The second reason is that you're posts are amusing and thought provoking at times. I was actually thinking that you were getting away from that affirmation stuff but I was wrong. It's no big thing with me anymore. I'm actually trying to be more sensitive to the plight of others an their needs. As a friend I'm telling you this post sounds terrible coming from a grown man like yourself. It will not affect my relationship here with you on the forum but you should get away from that and concentrate on making money and interacting with the people who seem to want to interact with you for whatever reasons.

You talk about leading and being a good leader. I'm sure you probably have some of those traits. But I've never met a true leader who was worth their salt that was looking for or needed affirmation. They were always comfortable within themselves with their actions and the results of those actions. Do you think you could run point a half mile out in front of your squad by yourself and remain composed enough to keep yourself and them informed and alive moving up a dry creek bed through a ravine in the middle of a jungle with the chance of some guy you don't see have first shot at sticking one right in the middle of your forehead. Do that everyday, night and day for a month or two in the driving rain, and and then talk about being a leader.
You really have to develope the credentials at whatever it is your doing to be viewed in that capacity as a leader.

When the results become so apparent and overwhelming and the %'s so good that one cannot help themself but to follow and acknowledge then you'll be the leader that you want to be viewed as.

I was not making the post to pat myself on the back. But, I can see how it might be viewed that way. I like helping people, Ski, so I was more frustrated with myself because I did not have any followers, rather than not getting the congrats for a good pick. I just assumed that since nobody mentioned the stock being up alot today, that nobody actually owned it, except me. I tried to help at the beginning of this week, but it didn't work... and I was frustrated and and feeling discouraged because I put time and thought into what I write, but it seems that it's all for nothing... and I guess it is.

Prices here are headed down big time, especially on the beach.

That is a very true statement Ski... I have 11/12 years left on my sentence, unless I run into some more money.

Yea Peanuts, don't go Cosmic on us. You have definitely proved your ability. I could probably retire with some of your picks.
