I'd pick my own bottom 10 but they'd be almost the same as Doug's and Mr. Market's from the research I've done. There really aren't that many lousy teams to chose from so I'll just keep track of Doug's and put in new one's if his fail , I mean win ,thus disqualifying themselves.

If Doug's Bottom 10 College Football teams are to prove themselves to be the very worst they have their work cut out for them Despite losing 7 of the first 10 games in week 1 , only 3 are showing true signs of horribleness. Here is my revised ranking as of Sept.3 , '06
1. North Texas Mean Green--- lost to Texas 56-7 impressive 49 point loss
2. Florida Atlantic Owls----lost to Clemson 54-6 are they really that bad?
3. Kent State---lost to Minnesota 44-0 or is it just the Big 10 jinx?
4. Idaho Vandals--lost to Mich. State 27-17, just not bad enough
5. Syracuse Orange--lost to Wake Forest 20-10, on the bubble
6. Temple Owls--lost to a bad Buffalo team 9-3 , showing promise
7. Rice Owls--lost to Houston 31-30 a 1 point loss won't keep you down
8. Buffalo Bulls--won 9-3 over Temple ,don't look for many more
9. New Mexico State--won over S.E. Louisiana 30-15 , what's the problem?
10. UNLV Runnin' Rebels ---won over Idaho St. 54-10 almost disqualified
Remember 3 victories and you're out of the race for the worst. Another big win by UNLV and they're also out of the running. Bonus points +2 to Kent State for 44 point loss. +3 to Florida Atlantic for 48 point loss and +3 to North Texas for 49 point loss.
2 of Mr.Market's picks are threatening to enter the worst ten with Eastern Michigan losing to Ball State 38-20 and Louisiana Lafayette losing to LSU 45-3

In week 2 , 9 of Doug's Bottom 10 Teams lost which is all well and good , but several of them just aren't that bad. The following 5 teams don't seem unworthy enough to rank in the bottom 10.
Buffalo Bulls--- won first game vs. Temple 9-3 and lost to BG this week in 3 ot's by only 48-40
New Mexico State Aggies--won first game vs. SE Louisiana 30-15 , lost this week to New Mexico only 34-28
Syracuse Orange--lost 1st game to Wake Forest 20-10 , lost 2nd game in 2ot's to Iowa 20-13
UNLV Runnin' Rebels--beat Idaho State 54-10 , lost to Iowa State 16-10
Rice Owls-- Lost to Houston 31-30 , lost to UCLA 26-16
We know the Creme of the Crop always rises to the top. In the septic business they say the "solids" always sink to the bottom and you know what the "solids" are. We've got at least one team sinking fast and they are : The Florida Atlantic Owls-- following a 54-6 loss to Clemson last week they lose this week 45-0 to Kansas State. That's a 93 point deficit in just 2 weeks earning them 6 bonus points.
Temple Owls--lost week #1 to a bad Buffalo team 9-3 and follow it with a humiliating 62-0 loss to Louisville earning them 5 bonus points.
Idaho Vandals--lost Mich. State 27-17 , lost Wash. State 56-10 , 3 bonus points
Kent State--lost Minnesota 44-0 , 2 bonus points , lost Army 17-14 ot
North Texas Mean Green--lost Texas 56-7 , 3 bonus points , beat SMU 24-6
I propose adding 2 of Mr.Market's picks to the worst 10. They are EMU losing to Ball St. 38-20 and MSU 52-20 giving them 1 bonus point.
Louisiana Lafayette--lost LSU 45-3 , 2 bonus points and losing to Tex. A&M 51-7 , 2 more bonus points giving them 4 total.
Any candidates I'm overlooking ?

The worst team sinking from the pack appears to be the Temple Owls. Losing its' 2nd consecutive 62-0 game this week to Minnesota. Can't get much worse than that. They are scoring 1 point per game while giving up 44.
Maybe it can get worse, The Florida Atlantic Owls , lost this week 48-8 to Oklahoma St. . This follows previous losses by scores of 54-6 and 45-0. They are giving up 49 points per game while scoring 5.
Can anyone match these 2 ? Let me know. Let's have Temple vs. Florida Atlantic on pay per view.

Overall IIC's worst 10 went 4-6 this week , but the above 2 are in a class by themselves.

After 4 weeks it's come down to the battle of the Owls as to who who who's the worst team in college football. Let their records speak for themselves.
Temple Owls-----------Florida Atl.Owls------Rice Owls
L--9-3 Buffalo ot-----L--54-6 Clemson-----L--31-30 Houston
L--62-0 Louisville-----L--45-0 Kans. State--L--26-16 UCLA
L--62-0 Minnesota----L--48-8 OK.State----L--52-7 Texas
L--41-7 West. Mich---L--45-6 S.C.---------L--55-7 Flor.State
Rice is coming on strong or should I say weak . All the 7 remaining teams in IIC's bottom 10 have won at least one game , thus missing out on the chance of being amongst the worst in 2006.

BTW, anyone watch that Notre Dame / Michigan State game last night? ND and touchdown Jesus pull it out in the 4th qtr. by coming back from down 16 points to win in the last couple of minutes. A big shocker for Michigan St. having been up 17 - 0 in first qtr. and 24 - 7 in first half. It was 34 - 17 in the 2nd half but ND came back to win and pull it out 40 - 37.THE SKIRACER'S EDGE: MAKE THE EDGE IN YOUR FAVOR

And then there was one. After 5 weeks of play only one of IIC's worst is without a victory. The Temple Owls have cemented their place as college football's worst team following their 5th consecutive defeat, a 43-14 drubbing at the hands of Vanderbilt. Florida Atlantic saw their chances for the brown cup go down the toilet as they beat Louisiana Monroe 21-19, while an inspired Rice team, playing in memory of 19 year old defensive back Dale Lloyd, defeated Army 48-14.
Overall the IIC bottom 10 had 5 victories and 4 defeats with the Buffalo Bulls remaining idle this week.
Kent State has been eliminated from brown cup contention with a third victory, 37-15 over Akron. Sryacuse also is out of the running winning their 3rd game against Wyoming 40-34 in overtime.
