Speaking of IPO's , VISA should go public by April '08. Worth approximately 2X Mastercard, what would you pay? Assuming few or none of us can get it before it opens, and we don't know the number of shares to be offered , MA has 135 million shares outstanding at a current price of 157 with 52 week range 69 - 174.60.

A friend of mine with little stock market experience is putting about 20G in the hands of his local broker telling him to buy. He's figuring around $100/ share.

Isn't it a bit early to have $20k just sitting there doing nothing?

He hasn't given him the $$ yet. I think it's in a CD at 4%. Some people won't listen to anything you tell them so I don't even try to give advice.

Geez...$20k...Could put it in CFC and get 5.65%.
