I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Mr. P, thanks for sharing your insightful insights. I appreciate it.
Of course the bottom line is everything. But it is, after all, a derivative of the top line. And that is why I worded the question the way I did. A company's poor management may not allow top line increases to translate to the bottom line, but management questions are different from my original one.
I didn't mean to imply that you didn't know how to ask the right question. My extention of thought on the bottom line was more of a steel industry specific insight.... I'm sure you are well aware of all the ways that management can eat up a great top line and make the bottom line look like junk. You know your stuff! My pontification was for any other readers of the post. I was just trying to help.
