I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Jiesen,
Did you make a mistake here? I mean, AMLN is supposed to be your long, isn't it??
Just kiddin' ya. Actually is LJPC finishes over $5.25, you're working on a pretty nice chart.
Just trying to mix things up a bit. Actually, I think with that latest announcement from LJPC, there's a good chance of a deal happening sometime in the next 4-5 months, and I'd like to have LJPC as my POTW pick when that happens. It should be creep up on the anticipation of the deal as well. At any rate, it edges out AMLN for my top pick in the contest.
I had the market direction correct, but inexplicably a very bearish stock bounced in a very red market.
I know it felt like a down week, but if you check the numbers you will see that the DJIA was actually up last week 57.63 points or 0.44%. I think there were similar gains on the other major indicies as well.
And how can I not take IMCL long .... with the new CEO and all? .... not to mention the bargain basement prices?
Mimo, Mimo, Mimo, you mustn't edit the post in which you make your pick. This is a big no-no. For future reference, if you discover that your pick has already been taken, simply create a new "oops" post with a valid pick. Thus the unassailable integrity of the first post remains intact.
I realize it's been a long time since this issue has come up, so I am willing to be lenient this time. But please do not edit your pick post in the future. There is no penalty for picking something somebody else already picked, and then correcting it in a subsequent post .... so long as that subsequent post is still within the valid time frame for entry.
This is really a reminder to everyone. It's just to keep all us honest people honest.

I did not realize the market was up last week. Wow. It felt like the bottom fell completely out of it.
IMCL long? No surprise to me I hope you make the big $$$$ on it in real life, along with your GooG.
