I tell ya what- I'll let you play. But, I can't make it "official," you see? I'll keep track of your score, but I can't have you playing with the law-abiding members this week.

Any other faces want to play against Pete?
    Peanuts, Peter,
Just a suggestion ... You could penalize the 3% but still play to make up the diff, like the time several weeks ago when I made my pick after the deadline. It's up to you guys, just a suggestion.

I am considering this to become law. I like this idea as long as Peter goes along with it. That means your score counts, Peter, but you are automatically forced into taking a 3% loss as your first closed position, leaving you with the ability to sell your current pick only- no second pick.

      How's that sound?

        Week 11, Day 2

        Week 11 - Irish Olympics
        Day 2 - Whacking Day

Go find some snakes and whack em a good one! Wait, does Ireland even have snakes?

IIC went to the zoo, whacked the snakes and brought them back to the judges. The sight of so many snakes made Patty O'Jolly get up and play the banjo!

Spikefader is a smart fella. You see, he knew that many Irishmen have never seen a real snake, so he fooled the judges into thinking that this was what he whacked. They gave him second place:

Stenzrob saw this thing poke its head from a hole, so he grabbed it and it got him third place:

Peanuts and dmk112 were the only other players to come across anything else which resembled a snake, but everyone else were the ones who got whacked.

I hope everyone is weathering this market storm. Don't give up hope if you're getting wet! It's got to stop raining sometime.

              Week 11, Day 3

              Week 11 - Irish Olympics
Day 3 - The Great Potato

Let's see what happens when a pile a potatos is placed in front of each player. The winners will exhibit the most creative uses of a potato:

IIC made a cool clock that earned him 1st place (but he forgot to adjust for the time-change):

              Peanuts made a spud gun:

dmk112 played with his potatos for a long time and finally handed this over to the judges and said, "this means something"

And just a little history lesson: This was the result of the Irish potato famine that began in 1841, and lasted 10 years:

                  Week 11, Day 4

                  Week 11 - Irish Olympics
                  Day 4 - Boxing

What kind of Irishman can't fight? Let's see which one of us is the next Jack Demsey:

IIC takes the most points in his matches and wins first place for this event:

Moos Linneman was a hero of Karel's growing up. Karel's skills in the ring would have made his hero proud:

Peanuts fought in the old style:

Some players got their butts handed to them so badly that it set them back a few years:

                  • wow - TMY was as high as 3.74 this morning. Peter could go from zero to hero again on Friday with those kinda' intraday swings.

                            Week 11 - Last day

                            Week 11 - Irish Olympics
                            Day 5 - Toughest Liver

It's a drink-off. We're slugging a shot of Guinness, then Harp, and then the player's choice of fine Irish Whiskey every ten minutes. Last one to the floor gets the pot O' gold.

Some players were flush and drunk after the first round. It didn't take long to drop the red folks. Mimo stuck around, but once he took off to the men's room, he was disqualified. Two players each successive round hit the floor, first Webs and Stenz in round 3, followed by Sticky and Gary in round 4, then peanuts and Karel dropped after the 5th round, finally, there were only three:

Nobody knew what he was saying before he dropped, but dmk112 sure looked like he deserved that 3rd place position:

Let-it-ride used his friends to help him get second place:

And the big winner of the Irish Olympics and the last man standing with the bottle to the sky, IIC, shows that it was Eris who prevailed over the Illuminati this week. Doug's Discordian approach earned him his first Gold and a positive score that was badly needed. Way to go, HUGE dude!

                            HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!!!
