How I chose NGA
Lou thanks for the complement on my picking NGA, I wish that I could give you an answer to the reason I picked this stock. I have no equipment to help me I must have read a news story some place then I put the stock Into my watch list when It's time to pick for the POTW I put the names on a dart board and the one I hit Is my pick. I do put the stocks on Stock Carts and try to evaluate It the best I can, Now I do this between a few beers and some time It takes longer than others but thats how I do It and thats no bs or some times I might throw a bucket of BS on the wall and the ones that stick go on the dart board that way I don't have to stare at charts and wonder what the H I'm staring at and I think can do as well as Cramer.Ray Long

MR. MARKETS WEEKLY STOCK PICKING CONTEST
OPEN TO ALL WHO THINK THEY MAY HAVE WHAT IT TAKES!!
MAY 20, 2007
Skiracer had been down for so long that it was beginning to look like up to him and he was also beginning to think that if he didn't have such bad luck he wouldn't have any luck. Jeez what a situation. But he was feeling pretty good about his next trade and entry in this weeks contest. This was it with his available cash and line of credit with his friends so it was down to make or break time for the umpteenth time. Nothing new. The thought of maybe having to get a real job sent chills up his back. He hated the thought of work much less actually having to do it. What do ski bums do in the summer except wait for winter. He had been watching ONT for a week or two as it came out of it's cup base and was just finishing up a somewhat elongated handle. He left clicked the submit button and the decision was made. ONT or bustout.
Jiesen on the other hand was flush with cash. He had a great job in the pharmaceutical industry and was doing very well but he had this obsession with a stock called Amylin Pharmaceuticals, AMLN, for short. Jiesen had owned AMLN for quite some time now and had ridden it from somewhere around 25 to up over 50 and back down thru 35 where it had formed a double bottom cup base and was now coming out of that base and handle and was back up to the 45 range. Jiesen had owned AMLN for over a year and a half. His persistence and belief in AMLN was a picture of buy and hold and fundamental analysis. Skiracer was 180 degrees on the other side of the spectrum. Strictly short term swing trading and heavily reliant on the technical side of analysis.
Ray Long, better known as RL to those who knew him, had a very different discipline. Laid back and very mellow Ray would sit on his couch and throw darts at a list of stocks he had picked indiscriminately while downing a few brewskies. His record was quite amazing in light of the fact that he did no fundamental or technical analysis of any kind. Ray had just bought a stock that in the last two months had gone from 4.50 to almost 17 without any type of correction or hesitation of it's upward trend.
There were about 21 players in this weeks winner takes all game and the pot was up for grabs again.
Skiracer was almost dead broke, Jiesen was flush with cash, and Ray Long was on his second six pack at the close of trading on Monday.
Skiracer found himself on top of the field Monday with Jiesen a close 2nd and RL in 3rd, although he hadn't realized it yet.
An up and coming pretty young college girl with shoulders as smooth as a candy apple red simonized 57 Chevy's front fenders was in the 4th spot. Skiracer, having an affinity for pretty young ladies, wondered which would he enjoy more, the shoulders or the money. Her name was Louetta, but everyone called her Lou.
And the scoresheet after the 1st day:

I find it funny, Skiracer, that you are so enamored of Lou's shoulders.I mean ... certainly Lulu Belle is a comely lass; but smooth, round shoulders are so common as to be practically universal.
........ unless this is a more obscure, metaphorical reference, in which case I should not have veered into this path.

A city girl like you is not equipped to use RL's stockpicking method. You should look elsewhere for a stock picking method to emulate. Let me explain. RL's REAL secret is in the cattle he owns. He inadvertantly bought a "stock picking bull" some years ago. [NO, it is not a black angus. Those stupid bulls couldn't out pick Cramer on Cramer's worst days]. In any case, while RL isn't really sure why he has such excellent success in the market, and while he even sometimes considers his success to be related to the brand of beer he drinks, the real truth is in the manure he uses. That bull in his pasture is the "secret ingredient" that is responsible for his stock pickin prowess.
So you see, Lou, that without a pasture, without his brand of bull, you really aren't capable of following his successful stock picking methods. Perhaps you should ask Ernie instead.

Not all woman can carry that look off and not all shoulders are of the quality that they should be shown in an off the shoulder dress in my opinion. Nothing else going on. Just my imagination going off again and trying to have some fun with the daily write-up. Actually Lou is a good sport about it.
