yep, I agree with your assessment of NFI....obviously, since I bought a buttload of the stuff also, (last week at 5 as well as at 8.5-10 earlier)

it's interesting that we agree on this stock again now, especially since this is one of the stocks that I found you on back in the Yahoo days (IART was the other), when my NFI buy coincided with your HUGE pick at the time.

I see no reason that NFI wouldn't pay out at least $4 in dividends this year, so how can you go wrong buying at 5? TI for 2006 is more than $4, and they are required by being a REIT to distribute at least 90% of it. So unless they de-REIT or go BK before the year is up, a yield of 80% or better from here is pretty much in the bank. now THAT's a juicy dividend!

Bear Sterns agrees with us, too:

At Yahoo Finance, you get free stock quotes, up-to-date news, portfolio management resources, international market data, social interaction and mortgage rates that help you manage your financial life.

    Mr. Market,

I've heard the following stats which, if correct , confirm that you're more huge than ever.

    1. Financial institutions defined as "subprime lenders" lend out 13.3% of their funds in "subprime loans"
    2. On average , 7% of these loans will default
    3. This is only a .93% rate of default even the bank of billyjoe could live with
    that.

    When is NFI's next div?

    NFI - Oversold?? You betcha

I just bought a boatload of NFI at around $5.00/share. I think this stuff got oversold in the New Century hysteria. Let's see what happens. Looks like some strong buying today.

Wish I had thought of this last week...doh!
