Oh large one you indeed have found a ripe piece of cheese in an otherwise stinky market!

My guess is that they hold off paying this year until the last possible minute (Dec) and pay out somewhere between 4-4.5. This may be the last big dividend for a while. If they continue to pay per the previous schedule, I'd be surprised, but quite happy with that. Not holding my breath though. They have announced that they are thinking about de-REITing. That shouldn't affect the payout of 2006 TI, though, only TI going forward.

    28-Dec-05 $ 1.40
    4-Nov-05 $ 1.40
    10-Aug-05 $ 1.40

Logical point to take profit is 7.23 gap resistance. I sure wouldn't be a bagholder of this one...yet anyway...but you guys see a fundy value that I don't look at. Now if it were to put in a nice daily island reversal, or some other impressive bullishness I'd have to look at it again. But I note the daily is doing an 'a' corrective up. Prepare for 'b' down, then 'c' up in the next several days. That 'c' wherever it is will be the line in the sand on a daily basis. But know this: Price is acting extremely bearishly relative to bands, and on high volume. I wouldn't be surprised to see it go to zip if there's a quarterly close under that $4.20 area.

    Good luck.

when this chart reverts back to the historically normal range of 8-10% we'll see who was swimming naked back in the halcyon days of sub-5% interest rates. until then, it's anyone's guess. I believe NFI will probably be gone before then, swallowed by the likes of Bear Stearns, or taken private... but they should still pay me my 2007 dividends before that!
Yes...buyouts are most likely..however, the sharks will buy the ones with the most value first.

NFI did not close the way I had hoped today, but I'll watch it the next couple of weeks and may sell off half of my position if it fails to get moving.
