Technically the stock has been basing for about three weeks following excellent earnings on April 25. The stock looks like it is attempting to turn up here and he expects it would gain some momentum should it make some higher highs.

He suggests taking a position around current levels and be a more aggressive buyer on a volume increase and a close over 49.

I honestly don't understand! I listened to Spike and have been shorting the whole thing (DXPE) for weeks (months) with fantastic profits. Where have you been? I don't remember the Shark saying buy, unless it was a long time ago. SHORT DXPE. Looking for a 5 down now. A buy to cover at about 39, a new short on an abc correction. Don't you read the thread? (never mind, I know you do love).

When that didn’t occur they dumped it and look for action elsewhere.

There is still a chance the stock will regain its luster in the next couple trading days and I would consider a buy if it starts to show strength. However I see no reason to bother with it while it is acting weak. "

ICE - don't bother, according to the Shark

Looking for MoMo for ICE week of 7_2_07

This is the Rev's take on the coming week and his Stock of the Week:

"With the Fourth of July holiday smack dab in the middle of the week we are likely to see very choppy, low volume trading all week long. The good news is that trading around holidays often has a bullish bias. With that in mind we looked for a fast moving stock that is likely to attract the hot money should the mood turn positive.

Our Stock of the Week is Intercontinental Exchange (ICE). Last week the stock pulled back toward its 50 day moving average on lower volume. Since February the stock has the makings of a cup and handle type formation. It now needs to put in a higher high to turn it back up out of the handle. That means it needs to trade back up over 152."

He’d consider "putting on this trade on a move in the stock over the 151 range. If it can manage that there is a good chance buyers will help to juice up the momentum once again."

The key to this trade is that the market environment be positive and that there be hot money buyers looking for action. Thus it is very important that you wait for strength before putting on this trade."

Funny, until you mentioned it, I hadn't noticed. My head is not screwed on too well right now. Getting over a bad case of the flu or whatever it's called when...

    Thurs night Shark tartare

"We were stopped out of our AAPL trade yesterday. The stock did bounce back today and may still see the window dressing and iPhone action we anticipated but it will be a day trade at this point. We would be very hesitant to stay in this name once the iPhone hype cools off next week. "

    AAPL Stopped out on Tuesday

This from the Shark: "AAPL, our Stock of the Week, hit our stop loss and we will close out this trade. I believe it is likely that the stock will see a run to end the week and may make for a good trade, but the technical pattern is poor, and we would not be interested in anything other than a quick flip at this juncture."
