Peter, in early April of this year, you listed MAKO in one of your posts. I have a story to tell about this.
Over the past 3 years, I've put off having a total hip replacement on my right hip. This past Jan. 26, I entered the hospital & am now just about fully recovered. Now,.....just about a week of so before the operation, my doctor, a chief Ortho at one of the best in the USA, actually calls me. He explains to me that there is this robotic navigational device that he is using on a very limited amount of patients that will ultimately lead to a tighter , more accurate fit & a speedier recovery. We spoke about it for 30 minutes. After I agreed for him to use it on my surgery, I did my own research on this MAKO RIO device. I found that MAKO was indeed a public company, & decided, based on all the positives my Doctor spoke about, ( now really, folks, how many people get personal phone calls from their surgeons?) bought in at about $16.38. This past Thursday, I went in for a follow up & the doctor is amazed at my recovery, contributes it to the MAKO navigation; as I was ready to leave the examination room, I casually mentioned to him that after his pre-op phone call, I bought some MAKO shares. He, smiled, closed the door, & we spoke another 15 minutes or so about why this stock has been rising so fast, so quickly. What a story! He was in a conference with Goldman & after that, they did their thing & now this baby has almost doubled since January!!
Sorry to bore you people with this, but thought it was worth telling to a few who would appreciate it.

Lucky 7 for 5/13/11

Inspite of all the ups and downs in the market .....it has not been a bad week. What will Friday portend? ........God only knows, but I would like to end the week with some blockbusters. Now provided the markets do not collapse the following "Lucky" 7 should do well.
