Mayor Bloomberg NYC I like his style!

Mayor Bloomberg of NYC is a self made Billionaire ........he completely financed his run for mayor of NYC and was not beholden to any political party. ALL other politicians owe favors to some industry , or political PAC and cannot be totally independent ........Bloomberg has the funds to finance a run for the president .....and does not have to put on the "kneepads" as all other political hacks must do. He is a man who gets things done! Bloomberg for president!

I AGREE WITH YOUR TAKE ON IT PETE. HE IS FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT, I WOULDN'T SAY HE IS BEHOLDING TO NO ONE BUT HE SEEMS TO HAVE KEPT THAT TO A MINIMUM. HE HAS DONE A DECENT JOB RUNNING NYC AND THAT IS A BIG JOB. GUILLIANI HAS USED THE JOB AS A STEPPING STONE FOR HIS PRESIDENTIAL BID. HE MOST LIKELY WOULD GET ALL OF THE JEWISH VOTE BUT THAT MAY BE A HINDERANCE DOWN SOUTH. I LIKE THE GUYS STYLE AND THE WAY HE GETS THINGS DONE. HE ALSO IS NOT AFRAID TO DO THINGS HIS WAY EVEN IF HE HAS TO STEP ON PEOPLES TOES IN THE PROCESS. WE COULD DO ALOT WORSE AND THERE ARE SEVERAL CANDIDATES RUNNING IN THIS ELECTION THAT COULDN'T POUR PISS OUT OF A BOOT.

I'd go one step further and say most couldn't, Ski. Of all those on the list, Fred Thompson seems to me to be probably the only one who could. A while ago I might have said McCain, but the more I learn about him, the more I realize he's wearing the same kneepads as all the rest... his might be a little smaller and tougher to see, but they're still there.

I wish Jesse Ventura would throw his hat in the ring a month before the election. He'd get my vote for sure! What this country needs is fewer politicians in office, and more wrestlers. (or maybe just fewer politicians)

THIS COUNTRY IS IN DEEP DO DO BECAUSE OF THE ACTIONS OF THIS ADMINISTRATIONS ACTIONS. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE ON THE HOME FRONT FOR THE PAST 6 YEARS. ALL WE HAVE HAD IS WAR OR THE TALK OF WAR AND THEY CAN'T EVEN DO THAT RIGHT. IT'S A SORRY STATE OF AFFAIRS AND LIKE YOU SAID WE NEED LESS POLITICIANS WHO SPEAK ONLY WHAT EVERYONE WANTS TO HEAR WHEN CAMPAIGNING AND THEN DO SOMETHING ELSE AFTER THEY GAIN OFFICE. THEY SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE.

Jesse ventura wouldn't even carry his own state....that guy was a joke...good at getting elected and slinging a line of BS, but lazy as hell and dumber than a door knob. He's just another bush clone.

I send Barry a check every so often, just to keep him in the race. But the candidate who is at least proposing plans and solutions and actually articulating details of those proposals is EDWARDS. Like what he says or not, he's got the brains, the wherewithal and the guts to make some good decisions, IMHO. He may be a trial lawyer, but at least he doesn't think he's the Messiah to whom God is speaking directly, like you-know-who.

And he's not changing his core beliefs and waffling all over the place like some of the chameleons on the list.

Is that why Edwards is the only one in italics? Riverbabe

In this vast melting pot of diversity we call the U.S.A. , nobody will be elected because of the following reasons.

                    Bloomberg-----too Jewish
                    O'Bama--------too black
                    Romney-------too Mormon
                    Gore---------- a retread
                    Thompson-----another actor
                    Guliani--------too many ex wives
McCain-------can't figure if he's rep. or dem.
Clinton--------too many Clinton and woman haters
Edwards------another pretty boy lawyer can't be trusted

Let's nominate some candidates without any baggage. Can you name one?

Being black(or in this case half-black) is baggage? I guess in racist america that's true...but I thought baggage meant something sleazy or sinister, not something that one cannot change by virtue of birth.

Lets face it, you have to be a politician to be elected, there's no way around that. YOu also have to be electable and that doesn't necessarily depend on the amount of money you have....you can't buy an election if you're not well liked. Hilary has the cash but she's not nearly as likeable as Bill was (before he self-destructed) so I really don't see how she'll go that far.

Gingrich. He's going to run, and out of all the criminals listed above, he'd get my vote.
