Off Topic: Wanna learn to be a Rocket Scientist?

    MIT OpenCourseWare

I recently made an effort to spend more time here and on some of the other financial sites. I have determined that I had a lot to learn. The library or the bookstore is a pretty obvious start-I am yet to make that trip but I will soon. I have been reading this forum (the best one I think!) and some of the other member sites and learning on-line.

    Sooo much to learn!

I even looked into an online MBA. It just doesn't look right for me to spend the time and money for another sheepskin (BA in Social Science 77), I just want to learn so I can keep with folks like you someday. I am probably too old and cynical to do well in a formal classroom (even online) anyhow....

I found this link by accident last week-been looking at it on and off since then.

I wanted to share this as it may be interesting to some...

This is MIT's Online Course Site-it is free. You don't get a degree but you get all the info except the experience of the lecture. Actually, there are some courses with audio and video that might include the actual lecture-I haven't looked as yet.

The first course I am looking at requires some books that I can get for about $ 20.00, used in good condition, from Amazon.

I am initially interested in the business and economics courses. I guess I was too busy listening to Blue Oyster Cult, Kansas, Bruce S (Born to Run!), Robin Trower, Pink Floyd et al when I was in college. That, and all the other associated activities. I had a great time and I did learn about people-but I only took a couple of business courses in college. I have been in Industrial Sales for about 25 years and done pretty well for the most part.

I wanted to share this with the star stock pickers here at the $$$Mr. Market$$$ Forum who might want to learn to be a Rocket Scientist or anything else. There is quite a list of courses.

    Best Regards. Bob

        YO Doug

Just woundering if you ever figured out your camera yet. I've turned that quest over to my wife, and some day I shall slow down enough to take lessons. Marlin
