    Hillary!
You are most welcome to preside over her funeral. And I am not the least interested in Bill, may he rest in pieces. And I am actually more a Democrat than a Republican, understanding please that I have a very independent view of politics and politcal candidates. I am an Independent and proud of it! I thought you were talking Hillary. My wife feared you would be insulted by my post, thinking that I was saying I can't wait until you pass on. But I told her, "Riverbabe is cool. She'll understand." But I am afraid that Hillary will make President either over your living or dead body. I see no candidates on the horizon with the charisma to beat her.

Well...I thought the same as your wife about your post.

However...My Crystal Ball says that Hillary will not be elected in 2008.

she's talking about what I mentioned here, the looming H&S top in the Dow Jones chart......you can go to the main page without subscribing and read the first sentence of the story.

                    1998 replay continues

watch for a sharp rebound the the S&P this week, imo.....I am looking to go long the SSO for the move I believe is coming due to options expiration week.....I've been trading 98% on the short side and obviously winning.....Seems the easy trades are done in the first 90 minutes then it's a grind till 3pm......

Also, helen meisler over at realmoney.com says the dow head and shoulders pattern has broken its neckline.

We got the rebound I was looking for

The rally Friday ended with the S&P holding below the 200 day moving average.....IMO, this rally has another leg down to SPX 1250 and possibly by Labor Day

Had a very good week day trading....This market has turned into a perfect environment for day trading.....Many of my buys and shorts are closed out in minutes or even seconds....Doing about 30 trades a day in the current environment.

Well Jim...Your trades are either awful small or you have a heck of a lot of money in a margin account...But then again...I guess you could be trading offshore which I considered at one time but decided against it.

So today...I guess you were either trading furiously in the first 15 mins. or you were shorting most of the day???

Then again...maybe you called the day bottom at about 11am EDT?

Wow...You certainly are a SUPER Day Trader

                          Day trading

I have a mid six figure account for trading.....I spend an enormous amount of time preparing for the trading day. I want to visualize what I will do when the conditions are right for the trade. This helps ensure I will act in a timely manner....For me, trading is a 12 a day thing, most of it reading charts...My performance improved immensely once I stopped hearing any opinion from James Cramer....To help avoid over trading, once I've made a satisfactory profit for the day and the opportunities seem limited, I go fishing....This is usually by lunch time.....

OK...but you never struck me as the type that would make 30 trades in a day...But then again I don't know you...I'm not doubting that you did, but I am surprised.

30 trades a day averages out to about 4.61 per hr. not prohibitive but to catch all those trades at the most advantageous, or what you thought was the most advantageous point, you would have to have done every bit of your homework on your watchlist and to sit at a screen or two to watch every minute because any trade possibly could hit your trigger at any time. you could set up trades to go off at a specific trigger and exit at a specific trigger and leave but that isn't always the safest and maximized way to do it. depending on your position sizes your account would have to be at least 6 figures or more. i don't think you would have enough to trade 1000 share blocks 30 times in one day without at least 500-600 thousand an alot would be dependent on the price of the stocks involved in the trades. possible but not as easy as it looks or said.

this is not my usual trading activity level

30 trades by schwab's measure is 15 buys and 15 sells......This is definity a very high level for me at this time....I guess it's the volatility....in the last rolling 12 months I did 4000 trades....I don't plan to do 30 trades a day forever....
