Wait a minute...How could you miss it???...I hardly have anything on the site and it is the only banner there...Anyone else have a problem seeing it???

Anyway...I went to BIDZ headquarters today to nose around...I also went to Robertson Jewelers...Detective Doug found out that they do all their ring sizing...Both places near my house...Very interesting...Security seems very tight at Bidz...And I was a bit surprised...Although the guards are BIG BURLY guys...they actually seemed pretty sharp and seemed to know quite a bit about the company.

Robertson Jewelers was interesting...Small store w/ some of their own stuff and Bidz stuff...Tons of ring sizer workers in the back and jillions of BIDZ boxes ready for shipment...I met the owner, Mike, who was cordial but didn't seem too interested in talking too long to IIC...But a woman named Diane was cool and we chatted for about 1/2 hr.

I learned a little trick they pull...A couple of times I have ended as the #2 bidder...then a box pops up offering you the same item at the winning bid price. I did not click it either time.

However, I was looking at my account last night and I see one item is in my shopping cart at the price I bid...not the winning bid. I had not received an email regarding this like I did when I won the other bid.

What they do is put it in your cart ...then you have the option of buying or not...I got the email today regarding that.

So far I have come to the conclusion that their listed retail prices are about double.

One final problem so far is that on about 5 occasions I have tried to place a bid in the final 2 seconds and it didn't take...That part makes me wonder.
