Newborn comes in a day late and hits the ball out of the park on the first swing. He takes the top spot with C on a day where there are only two green plays and they are both shorts. Spike's short play on ORS takes 2nd place with 3rd place going to Rob's AXS with a minus score. I do believe that is a first for the POTW. Doug has been saying it for a couple of weeks now and today he hit it right on the head. Any gains from the previous weeks uptrend evaporated after today. But why was his play to the longside when he felt the market was in the crapper. 2 green finishes out of 17 players and no peace for the weary. The scorecard please:

Cap Spike steers er into tha wind wit a stedy hand and a plan in place. no stopping him when the wind is right and right she be today as ORS finds her way down to a 8.56% gain and the top spot. he tinks that these landlubbers are easy prey. lurkin in the 2nd spot and wondering what happened with C today. another down day in the market and he thought for sure C would follow that direction. it did me hearty but just a bit short on the short. well back to the prayers tonight. it looks as if it is going to be a late one. Spike is thinkin he just might run im thru wit the broad knife. Rob has another negative day but holds onto the 3rd position and for the 2nd day in a row there are only 2 green positions with the 3rd place in the red. We be a hapless bunch of shitbirds this week. two more days left in the week and nary a whimper from QMAR. doesn't it feel good to see QMAR in 11 th place. but the HUGE ONE is making his presence felt and you can hear the BOOM echoing in the distance and nipping at Rob's heels from 4th place.
Riverbabe asked me to grant her a 3 week leave of absence which would eliminate the 3% penalty assigned each week for not playing under normal conditions. Every dog deserves a bone, and she's no dog, but I'm throwing her a bone and the three week exemption without the penalty. If anyone of you has and extraordinary situation that you might be dealing with in your lives such as hers and needed the same exclusion I would do the same for you but not just to take a week off because of being lackadasical about wanting to make a pick or not. besides it's just a game. i hope none of you think i'm doing something for her that i wouldn't do for any of you if you asked. maybe i might do a little more for her but she promised that i could borrow something pink. and the scorecard please:

Capn Spike had run this race enuf times thru the black of nite outrunning many a constable set on taking him in and out of the top spot. He knew the pressure and embraced it. it was goin to be all or nothin and he wasn't about to be on the nothin end of the sword. one more day. could ORS hold off the others if the wind died down to a whisper. it was a beautiful night and he was still on top. Newborn on the other hand had stayed up all night. the knobs on his knees were all to telling of where he had been and what he had been doing all night. but still in 2nd. C had not lost quite enough strength to get down and make a closer race of it with Capn Spike but there was still another day left and another night. His knees were knobby raw but his determination was above the pain. he had the yawns and droopy eyelids all day. Skiracer on the other hand had thrown caution to the wind as usual and waxed them skis up and sharpened the edges for an all out downhill run. what had looked to be a lackluster start had turned into a beautiful finish. ZIXI had found a groove and had flew to a 3rd place finish closing in a rush. life was groovy yesterday and todays groove had put him in contention. looking over his shoulder he could see DMK and "the hugh one" in the distance but not to far back where they couldn't threaten. he was going to hot wax them babies up tonight but needed fresh snow for tomorrows run. 5 greenies and 13 reddies today. better than yesterday but still nothing to write home about. no move out of QMAR today and he was still entrenched in red and in 11th place.
