    52 Week High Repeaters

This thread will list stocks reaching 52 week highs that have done it also in the previous week. Will list them each Wednesday and Friday. These will be stocks listed on the NYSE, Nasdaq , and AMEX and be priced between 3.00 and 20.00. This may be expanded later. Some will be missed from time to time. Use these in any way you wish. Some investors look for stocks making new highs 4X over a several week period as a signal to buy. I make no such claim.

Weeks of 2/25 and 3/3-------CEF XIDE BEXP COIN

    That's all for now

Unfortunately there are no new additions for this week. Maybe we'll fare better next week.

          Doug,
I don't think ATAI qualifies as it's only been around about 6 weeks. The good thing is that even if I initially miss them, these stocks will make themselves known by repeatedly showing up on the new highs list then we can grab them before they make the historical monster move.

billyjoe, if they are repeatedly on the new highs list, haven't they already made a move? By "the historical monster move" are you talking a 3-up after the 2 down and the new highs being the 1-up. I guess (I know) I don't fully understand the theory behind what you are trying to show here. Please, guru, help me. I need more teaching here.

i have to think that after making a new 52 week high that it could go farther up without having to go up that much. every tick would be a new high after that so all it would have to do is to close .01 or so higher than the previous week next week and that could be counted as a 2nd week at a new high. so all it really has to do is to hold above that first new 52 wk. high for a week or two. the problem being that those that languish around range bound at the new level could be propping up for a correction. they have reached their climax having gotten to the new 52 week high and are now spent. if like Riverbabe says the 3rd or 5th waves coincide with the new high the correction may be in the 4th and abc corrective waves.
i think catching them earlier on the way up and riding them to the high point might be easier and afford more room for gains.
Like with women it becomes a matter of timing. you have to catch them at the right spot and time.

                River,
Initially I was only going to list repeaters from 3.00 to 10.00 figuring occasionally a future great stock starts out at a low level and not with a huge IPO. Well, there weren't so many that qualified so I raised the maximum to 20.00. The guy that started Vectorvest has found some future giants this way. He starts serious research on them after they've hit new 52 week highs over 4 or more consecutive weeks but for some reason only lists stocks starting under 6.00. Even then only a small % ever hit the big time.

I'm wondering if this exercise might be useful to identify the stocks that have been so horribly beaten down in this market and that now are starting to make their move up again. In that case, "52-week highs" wouldn't really be appropriate, but breaking a 1-2-3 month high (or another suitable period) might be more useful information as a screening alert. Or something similar? What do you think? River

                    River,
Yours is a good idea. I'm just trying different things to see what might work. Mostly just lounging in the sun on the deck near the sparkling blue water. Just kidding. How's your weather? We can't all be as fortunate as the unnamed Californian poster. However we are tempered by our climate and as a result become tougher investors. If Doug opened his door and saw an inch of snow he'd probably call in sick and go to bed. River, you're probably getting your gear ready for a hearty hike through the Rocky River Valley!

I've only called in sick 3 times since 1976...The last time was over 20 years ago

At 11:04AM Saturday morning, this is what it looks like here. Am thinking it looks much the same at the billyjoe residence!

                          River,
I'm impressed you can still see garage doors, but seriously, Ray Long looked outside his door in Tonawanda this morning , saw 3 feet of snow and opened a cold one to celebrate the beginning of spring.

Hey, how are all of you doing? I'm new here but I used to get MR.MARKET's picks years ago. Where do I go to see his latest pick?

                              Thanks
