I like high yielding closed end mutual funds for this purpose -- I own ACG. They currently are paying $.05 per month which is an annual yield of 7.4% at the current price.

TNH is an interesting stock. Last check was at 110.90. My son has traded in and out of it 9X since January is up a few hundred $$ and got some free stock as a div. I guess it's classified as an ag stock or is nitrogen a commodity? Anyway the demand should continue to build so we hope it keeps paying the 16% div.

BVF - $10.76 down 6.4%
CCOW - $8.29 up 27.5%
FIZZ - $8.02 up 5.7%
TNH - $121.68 up 13.4%
IWA - $18.53 up 4.8%
TGIS - $3.06 down 2.9%
TKS - $14.00 up 5.7%

So I think I'm pretty happy so far.
