Check out MGPI ... the next CALM

Read about MGPI on Lizard's stock board on Monday. It had a great day today, up 16% to a new closing high. This is another play on the Atkin's diet ... they supply low carb flour to the baking industry. You may want to check it out.

                CALM

Hope you guys are still in on this one like me (see previous posts). After going up over 4.50 yesterday they announced a 2 for 1 stock split with the dividend per share being the same (thus doubling the dividend). Up over 2 dollars a share in pre-market trading.

                  CALM

Stock split -- 2:1. The reading of the entrails shows it broke out of its rectangular base/tight trading range on good volume, but still less than its average daily volume. The rectangle was about 5.75 high so with the resistance line around 34.25, the calculated target price is around 40.

Sold my CALM shares today at $40.02. I had rebought at $33 about a month ago, good buy, i think its time to take profits again for anyone that still holds.

I tend to disagree; I think that this is STILL a good investment. Great earnings with very low PE and a product (eggs) that is being used in increasing amounts b/c of the Atkins diet. I could even see this as a future Mr. Market pick! Plus, stock split coming and the dividend increased by 100 percent. I thought I sold it at a good price back around 27. I was wrong and re-entered at 30. Today it's up over 5 bucks and I don't think the ride is over--yet.

                        CALM...up again

As Ernie would say...earnings, earnings, earnings. Check out what this one will do today. They reported 1.95 for the quarter and 1.45 for last quarter. Great PE for this company. As mentioned in my earlier posts, I don't think the ride is over for this egg company.

I was looking at this stock today and was tempted to buy some in and around 32 if it makes it there. I don't really see demand for eggs dropping anytime soon. Can somebody who has been following this more closely than I offer their opinion of where this thing stands?

I've had a nice little run-up with DKS the past 2 weeks and am looking to take some profits there and perhaps ride CALM back up to 40.

I sold at $40 and not regretting, this stock is overpriced and when the market slips so will it too. Unless some awesome news comes out this one will slowly decline. Plus this bird flew that is popping up all over the world, for example they ordered to kill all birds in B.C Canada becuase of it.. Its the next mad cow...Im not saying its a reason to freak out but this flews are hard to stop.

                                King,
I took a postion last week when the stock dropped into the 11 area. Stock seems cheap on a valuation basis. Hopefully it will work it's way higher once the market gets over it's case of interest rate jitters.
