I just saw they have on in NY in February, maybe I'll go to that one. On a scale 1 to 10, how do you rate the expo? And is it really free??

Yes...the show is really free...There are free lectures...mostly sales hype though...but if you listen intently...you can get some interesting info. There are also paid seminars...I would love to hear Linda Raschke at her paid lecture...but I will pass for $795...But she seems to know her stuff and her free seminars are "Standing Room Only" ...She seems like a "Smart" cookie to me....Know's her stuff.

IBD seminars...hmm??? Joe Burns...The Canslim Expert??? I don't really like to put down employees of company's who are just doing what they are paid to do...I embarressed him in Chicago...I laid off in Vegas...Maybe he knows Canslim??? But I will tell you right now...If you are interested in Canslim he is no expert...Sounds like a recording to me.

If anyone cares to show up...We could all meet at the IBD Exhibit...You can see me in action...Tearing these guys apart...I don't pretend to be the EXPERT...But I think it is a shame that some companies put people at their booths who have no idea what they are talking about...Doug

I hope you share some good info from the Vegas show with us. You mentioned a black boxed stock on a site that we won't mention. I asked over there if anyone was tracking the "black boxed" ones and didn't get one response, so I'm still curious about them. The unnamed ones wouldn't give me access to the free trial for premium information. They e-mailed me saying someone else already had that password. I e-mailed back telling them they were idiots and that I was the person with the password. They responded and let me on so I guess they want a different password and name for every service they offer. Brilliant!

The group got hammered on Friday w/ an A/D/U issues of 31/114/4...the whole group was down -2.7%.

I guess it depends what you think oil will do. If SWN stays above the 50 sma and oil goes up I think it will be OK. It is held at the 50 quite often...The 50 sma is about 66 right now.

The 50 sma is 66.07 the 50 ema is 66.43 on SWN

Stockcharts.com was down Friday...seems to still be down today...but one of our members here...MTM...has a real nice free Charts and Scan thing at his site...You should give it a try:

You like SWN, and with a split coming, (which I didn't know about before), I wouldn't be shorting it. But how about this play:

Buy SWN at $69.00 (current price).
Sell the NOV $75 call for $1.10 (current price).
The call expires Nov 19--10 trading days away. I don't think she can bust the $75.65 resistance--and that would make a triple top--we'd really need good news to bust that one. The chart says the news just isn't there. So pick up the $1.10, and if we have a downturn, then sell the DEC calls. If SWN pops over $75.00, you still have a $7 gain in less than two weeks--what is there to cry about? If she retreats, you have solid support at $66, and with your call money, you are in good shape. Looks like a nice trade to me.
