I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. But tomorrow...Business as usual...No Problem...Doug(IIC)
Missed my fave...ENG...waited for the p/b...never pulled back enough
It is very important not to lose your cool when you have a bad day. Never try and get it all back at once...don't press. Today I just went into it like every other day...Worked out great...Got yesterday's losses back and more...Traded SMDI LIFC NVLS YHOO SUF GLW AMLN.
Will check in later, but that's it for me this week...I have to hit the road tomorrow about the time the market opens...although there is a possibility that I'll be back in time to catch the last 1/2 hr or so...Doug(IIC)

You can hold conference calls with up to 100 people at no cost.
Everyone calls the same tel. # and inputs the access code you give
them. The freebies can last up to 3 hrs. They have paid stuff too
(Like 800 access)...I set up a test conference from L.A....They
assigned the number to a Ventura tel. # which is a toll call (about 40
miles away).
But I assume most people have free 24/7 long distance on their home
telephone anyway...Doug(IIC)

Masteringthemarkets(mtm) mentioned PALM to me the night before last. Was watching yesterday for a b/o that didn't come...But it still looked good...I couldn't buy it at the right time because I wasn't around but I did switch to it in the POTW pre-m for the open.
Well, it certainly was PALM Friday +5.7%...Unfortunately I saw the
first 10 mins and the last 40 mins of the mkt. day. But I had to buy PALM in the last 1/2 hr since I've been yapping about it all over the Net for 2 days. I only made lunch money(literally) on it...I ate at Taco Bell(Actually I do have enough left over for a 6 pack tonight)...Also made some pocket change on BNT.
Was watching NKTR though when it started to drop and drop and
drop...checked news and saw the PFE news. I waited to see how far it
would go and then caught .39 on the bounce...held it for 3
minutes...it kept going up for a few more mins though...and then it
tanked again...Doug

This week there are 28...Last week there were 32...Of the 32...17 were up and 15 were down...Not a particularly stellar week for the Combo List. Quite a few changes on the list this week...But that is to be expected during earnings season.
Last week the Combo List was +1.19% (Use Monday's open and Friday's close)...Y-T-D +11.03%. The IIC 100 Top Ten +1.80% and +19.62%...The IBD 100 Top Ten +5.30% and +14.63%.
There are 18 stocks on the IIC 100 that are under $15.00.
