    Re-Post From The Chopping Thread

Well...My Beta test Time expires tomorrow at IBD Alerts...I just completed their survey.

Other than the fact that I got an alert on New Year's Day... I rated it pretty high...They have some good choices regarding getting alerts on some of their proprietary lists...e.g. IBD 100, 85-85 etc. All the alerts I entered were triggered either the same or next minute...although the one minute difference could be attributed to the differences in our watch settings(Mine is set for Atomic time)...So no complaints there.

I didn't use it as much as I should have...But I like the Price/Volume Combo feature they have.

    Overall...I rate it a 9 outta 10...

BUT...In my mind I decided that I would subscribe if it was $10 a month...I can see more value for some traders...But for my style...I figured that was what it would be worth to me because I would rarely need/use it....However, I can envision certain types as benefitting more from it than I would.

But on the "Willing To Pay" section of the survey the range was $29.95mo to $99.95mo...

    So I will take a pass...Doug(IIC)

      Doug,

Where's the intraday market timing article? I think that you posted it in the past, but I can't find it... I knew I should have saved that...

Traded ENDP on the MACD 10,20,5 crossover w/ Slo Stochs coming off of oversold...Was a bit late for +.39. BARE came up on the same scan but the vol. was too low at the time although it went up nicely on vol the last hour...I did not get BARE though.

Okay, appreciate. The rest of the stock quotes are delayed? They let me create my list and haven't asked me for money yet.

Nothing is wrong with it...In fact, I am glad you brought it to my attention...I find it very useful in my short-term trading and I will continue using it. I have multiple MACD's set up in my scans.

However, it is very "Whippy"...Which is fine for me..."Mr. 5 Minute Trader"...But much of what I post is just info that I hope will be of interest and/or help others...And I believe that most people that read my posts here and at other forums and chats I am in are more long term than 5 minutes on most of their trades.

But I do thank you for bringing it up...And I will continue using it...And yes, it can be helpful to people that trade for more than 5 mins(I was exaggerating a bit on that time-frame comment above)...However, I think more readers of my posts who like/use MACD will find more benefit from 10,20,5...Doug(IIC)

IIC Top 10 vs. IBD Top 10

It's actually ludicrous to post the first week's results...IIC Top 10 ahead by 6% YTD.

I don't know about everyone else, but I wonder why my mechanical list which costs virtually "Zilch" to produce and takes all of about 30 seconds a week can consistently outperform a mechanical list that costs million$ to create and takes how many people to come up with it???

Some will say I am tooting my own horn...Some will say I am arrogant...But I charge nothing for the info I produce and as far as I am concerned my IIC 100 list is more forward looking than WON could ever come up with no matter how much you pay him.
