First of all I overslept and missed the open.

First trade was not good:

QID -.35

Then QLD +.43, QID -.05, QLD +.51, QLD +.33, QLD +.16.

The first trade I went with what I "thought" was gonna happen...worst thing to do day trading...The rest of them I went with what "was" happening. Even though I lost a little on the 2nd QID trade I don't feel it was a bad call...the Naz 100 just reversed.

On the first trade I made a second mistake...When I was down about .12 it was obvious I shoulda sold...Oh well, made some overall.

Traded QID in the morning 2x +.40 and +.35...Was very patient.

Both QID and QLD closed green today.

I received a question about that today...I'm no expert but here is part of my response:

I traded QID 2x this morning...+.40 and +.35...Never got another chance to go either way but it certainly appears that if I am patient and simply wait for all the stuff I watch to start moving one way or the other then there is a good chance of making some $$$.

Anyway, The QQQQ, QID and QLD track the Naz 100...but there are imbalances all the time due to Supply/Demand of the ETF. I've often seen both the QLD and QID green at the same time. In fact, they both closed green today.

Here are the closing %'s and the theoretical closing percentages:

Naz 100...-.05%

QQQQ...-.11%...-05%

QLD...+.12%...-.10%

QID...+.40%...+.10%

I don't know, but imbalances could reflect sentiment. The prices of the ETF's are not tied to the price of the index...they are priced according to supply/demand of the ETF, just like a stock.

The QLD and QID get into all types of investments...most of which I forgot...But options, derivatives, futures are part of it as I recall.

Over the long haul QID and QLD should go double the direction of the Naz 100...But there is no guarantee...Unfortunately, most of the sites that describe them talk like it is a given that they will...However, the people that write most of those articles became writers because they were lousy investors.

On another note regarding the post above...I think a lot of writers confuse ETF's w/ Mutual Funds.

I owned the second QLD for most of the day...I just bot QID when I went to take a shower this morning...Don't know if it is a very good idea to own both at the same time...Used it as sort of a protection although one could actually lose both ways...or one could make money both ways

Lost a little today on those.
