In the first QID instance I tried to anticipate (The ULTIMATE Sin)...and it did go up from 47.51 to 47.60 right away...But all my criteria was not in line and then it reversed down to the 46.40's...I realize I should have sold out in the 47.30's and taken my lumps...But I am human sometimes (DARN!!!) and I held on while cursing myself...It looked good again in the 46.90's but I wasn't about to add...Then it moved up over 48...I eventually sold at 47.92 which was above my limit by a few cents.

One thing to remember though is that when you screw up and still make money...Don't be happy about it...Of course, don't give the money back...But don't think you made a good trade either....That's Spike's lesson #12

I have prepared some simple charts for you to show you some basic technicals I use to day trade QID...You can use the same concept for QLD.

I don't go into a lot of detail but maybe they will give you some food for thought...I prepared them quickly so there may be a few that are a bit off.

In order to trade this way you need to qualify both account wise and money wise...Although you could still do it selectively w/o being eligible to be a Pattern Day Trader if you have the patience.
