I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. For newbies: My MoMo (Momentum) list consists of stocks in the Top 5% of my Relative Strength (RS) Database of 5500 equities that closed up at least 2% on at least 1.5x Average Daily Volume.
My RS numbers may not be exact when compared to other's because we may have a different number of stocks in our databases, the treatment of IPO's and the fact that my database goes from 1-100...But most are very close as the RS formula is basic...Doug(IIC)
IIC's Undiscovered Gems...The Creme de la Crap...These stocks are in the bottom 10% of my Relative Strength Database and yet they have good recent EPS % increases as well as very good EPS % projections...If you like to Dumpster Dive you just might find something of interest:
If you're goin' through hell,
Keep on goin'.
Don't slow down:
If you're scared don't show it.
You might get out,
'Fore the devil even knows you're there.

Doug, here is an example port as I was talking about on Dave’s thread. 100K with 2% risk. Positions where sized off 2000. as per total risk allocated. Stop out point is 200 per position. Trades taken as of close Friday. Notice total invested is just shy of 20K. I wont need to track the port as it will auto reload every day. I used a random selection off your list and did not even look at them all.
Doug, had this port been taken at the open Friday it would have gained 1.08% or 213.61.
Doug, I’m also going to track a different strategy or a volatility port on these. I basically set up each position with a 200 risk and divided the volatility to get a different amount of shares per position. Here is the results..
Here is the difference with the volatility port
ADM=71 shares @ 2.78
BUCY=34 @5.88
CELG=34 @ 3.70
DAKT=65 @ 3.06
EZPW=36 @ 5.43
HANS=37 @ 5.27
HOLX=49 @ 4.08
ICLR=41 @ 4.86
PNFP=114 @1.74
KNOT=0
The Volatility port had total value at 22K and so I removed KNOT and so here is the value of the two different ports. Don’t forget the volatility port has only 9 positions
Standard fixed port Value 19,738.78
Volatility Port Value 19,484.97
Here is the differences in the two had it been bot @ the open Friday
Fixed Port +213.61 or 1.08%
Volatility Port +276.78 or 1.42%
I think this about dos it. I just looked at my clock and it is 0540am and I think I might need to get a nap before sun rise today..
