Yet inflation remains stubbornly high, and will likely remain so in coming months. The personal consumption expenditures index excluding food and energy, the Fed's preferred inflation gauge, is current at a 2.4% annual rate, which matches the highest pace since 1995. That's also well above the 1% to 2% range commonly understood as the Fed's preferred zone

        • Doug, DIGE has the chart qualities I like. It bases for a good while then it pops. Currently in first pullback.

I thought that you had an interest in XWG at one time... maybe I'm wrong.

It is on my MOMO watchlist, but not a current position

A tool to help you try to determine market direction..This is a weekly Naz Bullish Percent chart with numerous emas...I call it a ribbon chart. I actually use the daily but I used the weekly so I could show a longer time frame...I see I forgot one red line in Sept '01. I made a little comment in blue and if you compare this chart to the Naz I believe you will agree with it....Doug(IIC)

PS...thought I corrected that typo(shorter in blue) also the 11/06 line should be green

Interesting chart, Doug. I can't help thinking how well one might do trading just QQQQ long and short.

Say you're long: you could sell your position when the 3-day EMA crosses below, say, the 11-day. Then when you hit one of those big red crosses on the chart, go short. Then do just the reverse: cover when the 3-day crosses above the 11-day, and go long on the green cross, etc., etc.
