Portfolio of the Week 2010

Besv takes the Gold this week ! He is the only winner as well, not counting the Dow and S&P 500. He grabbed LIOX long and it kept him afloat after the rough waters that took the rest of us under. This is BesV 2nd Gold, and well deserved !

All fixed Rob, strange that Google's Open function in the documents spreadsheet gave the wrong Open price. I'll have to ping them about that

Oh, I should mention this rule that has been in effect since I took over, as it really "affected" people this week (sorry, making sure I get me effects correct over my affects ):

CLOSE and OPEN orders after market will trade at the closing prices for that day.

Ugh! These large gaps up can be killers. Citigroup, Inc. (C) only lost a penny (0.25%) this past week. But because of the 8.25% gap up on Monday morning, my score takes a 7.85% hit. Doh!

BTW, Ody, I checked the historical prices at finance.google.com, finance.yahoo.com, and nasdaq.com, and all three sources have Citi's opening price on May 10 as $4.33. I would be most appreciative if you could take that into account when recording my weekly tally. Thanks!

i have to give credit where its due. i know this stock quite well and have traded it on several occassions. the only thing i dont like about it is the average daily volume is very low. and when you picked it this week i said that i was going to make a play in it just because you have been doing so well. anyway i didnt make the trade because i hate the low volume stocks and here it is up over a point from your entry. another nice pick.

yesterday at around 3:10 p.m. i bought ALXA and submitted per the entry form ALXA in the POTW. I dont see where it registered in the POTW.
i went to POTW 2010 site and clicked on PICKS and ALXA had been registered on 5/11/10 at 15:13. but my first pick PCLN had also been registered but i cancelled on the POTW thread before the open.
