Great time o' day, it seems Rob can't even buy a gain these days.

This week I will go long with C. The call-to-put ratio is unusually high. Rob wonders why Uphill Racer considered shorting it.

i shorted it before the news came out regarding these underhanded deals by GS. i felt that the govt's selling off the 7.7 bil shares they had acquired via the bailout to C was going to drive the price down. my logic was that anytime you flood the market with any marketable goods it drives the price of those goods down proportionately. now with the govt sueing GS and that can of worms being opened i think it is a no brainer and cannot imagine anyone going long at the present time with any of the large banks that were dealing in those mortgage backed deravitives. i think the shit is yet to really hit the fan once the investigations and class action suits get going and that will keep investors on every level running from those equities.
