Found Mr Market via Google looking for any legit info in Big Bear. Amazing to find 90 % garbage out there. I will be the first to admit that I know little or nothing about the market, love to gamble and have some funds I can afford to lose. Better yet I have funds I can use to make $$$. That can be a setup for disaster. I know something about Fib scales, pips and candlesticks, trends ect. I'm not completely stupid, just feeling a little retarded right now. I lost $1700 on a $10000 investment and I can deal with that. Like I said, I've lost more at the table. Although I've won more overall in the casino, I understand table games. My thing is this, Beat me don't cheat me. Make it a fair fight. I understand the casino, the market it seems, the more I learn the less I know. So here I am, trying to learn in the school of hard knox. I'm not the porch dog that sits and watchs life go by. I want in on it.
My passion is flyfishing, hence MrFly nicknamed from some kids in WA. I own 15 rods and fish the world.
I have been following J/K and M/C ever since I got there email re: ELRA in Oct 2008, Watched it double two weeks in a row, then I played UOMO last May and doubled--WOW. I knew these guys were pumpers. I'm good with that as long as it is a legit company. Not this way. This does not feel good making money on suckers that hold on a false promise. I think you can still make $$ if you want to gamble on BGBR's sideways downward slide. Do I really want to gamble with them again? Do I want to take some guys cash that got duped like me?? I don't think so. We know what is happening to BGBR now and after researching what this dog of a company is not doing nor ever intends to do well the gig is up.. Now these guys J/K and M/C will tell you that they had there disclaimers blah blah blah blah You know I can dress up a turd to look very lovely and smell like roses put it in box with a blue bow and gift it-- but in the end it is a turd, it stinks and will always stink. I would love to have there address and send them a whole hospital full of turds for my thank you in return. Now you all know a little bit about me, thanks for reading. Any advice is always appreciated. If your selling snake oil than I'd rather not hear about that one.lol
Alright, now let see what I can gamble at next Whoo hooo

As a self proclaimed gambler who loves the action, and it takes one to know one, i can only offer this advice about trading stocks. immediately stop messing around with these guys and any pump and dumpers. stop messing around with these ultra penny stocks. it is a waste of your biggest asset and only unreplenishable one, time. learn as much as you can about the technical and fundamental sides of trading and as a gambler you should know and understand this next statement. make the edge in your favor. you can do this very easily by spending your time learning the aspects of successful trading. if you do that i can almost guarantee that your chances at making money will increase dramatically. if you don't then i can guarantee that you will go broke sooner than you ever thought or imagined.

          Mrfly,

I would echo everything that Ski says and I would add this. There are SOOOO many great companies out there at discounts right now to be fooling around with pump and dumps. You might like options since you can see .50 go to 1.50 in a few days to a few weeks.

I learned a lot about stocks reading books, asking everyone here for their ideas and I took some classes and workshops. If you like the gamble, and you like the pennies, I would suggest developing a solid foundation of stocks, fundamental and technical analysis and then make the play in options.

That's pretty much would I have done. It has been great making 15% with $$$Mr.Markets$$$ picks in a 2-6 week period, but I needed a little more aggressive strategy since I am trying to grow the pot in a short period. Options have been great but it's a double edged sword. Invest in learning and ask the guys here. There are some great investors here with many years of experience.

            Thanks Skiracer,

I get what your saying. I studied the forex market, set up an account and played with fake $$ for a little while. Thats where I learned a little about charts and trends signals ect. The turn off for me on that was the hours. I didn't want to have to be up with the Japanese market then the Euro followed by the US market. Geez, I might as well go count cards 8 hrs a day, at least I can drink scotch for free. More work than I care to do. Another reason I didn't try to be a Doctor. So I'm a nurse who works 6 on and 8 off. When I'm working there is no way I can expect to do any research or monitoring. When I'm off, I'm dropping in with you on deep powder days on my snowboard or flyfishing for steelhead, trout, tarpon what ever--- who knows where I'll be. So the Market makes sense for me. I have my 401 working for me however I feel the market has great opportunity when done correctly. I have a friend who fired his broker and now does quite well on his own. I should have taken his advice when I told him about this pump and dump but got greedy, damn me. He hates pennies, makes next years salary this year and his vacation $$ he makes monthly as it goes. He's up at 4 am every morning including weekends. His opinion is the market never sleeps, always have to be up on the news!! He got out before the crash of 07 and re bought shares at the fire sell after the fall. 1980 stock prices in 2008, who would of thought it. If you had tons of cash then you could have thrown darts at the chart, invested on what they stuck and doubled up by now on REAL stocks.
Now the thing about my friend is this. He has NO hobbies at all. Vacations in Hawaii every other month and doesn't leave his room and is happy that way. In other words he has nothing but time to watch his investments.
Me, well I could burn through 10 mil cash quickly with all the hobbies I have and ones I like to pick up. So where does that leave me re: playing the market ?? IDK, still trying to figure that one out. But I have spent more time on the net researching and can say that my only loser on the market was BGBR. I guess that isn't so bad. Everyone gets hit eventually I imagine. Just like to limit my losses, which I feel I did this time. Should of followed my 80/20 rule and taken profits early but chose to ignore that. Stupid greedy me.

Cheers to all and any good pick are welcome and researched, Thanks to all for your input.

Another P and D stock I was alerted to this morning before the pump. Looks familiar, Old news manipulated to sound like new news. More BS news in the afternoon to keep volume pumping and now she is dropping. I could have gotten in before the push but how many times are you going to do that and win?? Will be interesting to see how it works out. I'm not in.

Never try it unless you get in at rock bottom prices and well before the pump phase begins...even then it's still a risky game.

if we know they are coming from pump and dump stock manipulators why are we even talking about them. didn't we have a regulation regarding penny stocks in general that they had to meet a specific agenda before they could be posted on here. Karel could you give us a clarification on this. Personally i think they are a waste of our time and only bring gain to the ones pumping them.

Sorry guys, I honestly didn't know. I'm done with P and D's and won't mention them again. I found this site on a search and felt compelled to give anyone interested a Heads up on BGBR and it led to this. I've learned since that this is not a pennies or subpenny site.
That doesn't mean I'm not interested in what is said here, I give more stock from what I read here then most anywhere else so far.

My advice... Pay no attention to me, as I am an evil penny stock player. Keep an eye on Mr Market, Skiracer, Pete Hansen and others...These guys really know their stuff.

Microchips, you dont have to apologize to me. its really no big deal. but i'm feeling guilty. i dont want to prohibit free dialogue but i thought karel had made a ruling on these penny stocks. personally i think its a waste of time but what i would really hate to see the is the forum taken up by penny stocks and conversation about them. normal technical and fundamental analysis really doesnt work with them so trying to apply solid research to them doesnt work either. playing them will subtly create bad habits and instead of creating a solid edge for yourself you will find yourself relying on these other creeps news bites and hope. at that point you might as well wish in one hand and shit in the other and see which one fills up first. i made a big score with web's JBII and it was a penny stock. so i dont want to be a hypocrite. the difference being that it had a history and some tangible background that you could look at and form an educated opinion and decision on. there as a few out there in the realm of penny stocks which do fill the bill. even the ones that turn out great have to start somewhere so i guess that some are worthwhile discussing. but they are few and farther in between.

Does a company called Palatin Technologies fall into the good catagory(PTN) they have a market cap of $28million and average 900,000 shares daily and are in bed with AstraZeneca, they seem to have a very good pipeline and plenty of drugs in trials, they trade today at only .29 is the share price a bad reflection on the company ?all advise and help appreciated.

Any thoughts on this one. It's on the NYSE and used to go over 70 before the crash and now is at 2.9. I read this today and wondered if it's worth a few C notes to check it out before the May 5 announcement ?

BankAtlantic Bancorp, Inc. announced today that it plans to release its financial results for the first quarter of 2010, in a press release to be issued prior to market open on Wednesday, May 5, 2010.

I don't want to do anything until I look into it further. I've been taught to try and stay away from old companies that are trying to fix themselves. Seems like half of America is out ??? If anyone knows this stock please let me know if I'm wasting my time or not.

I bought a bunch of banks after the crash..got burned on most of them. It was hard to assess their balance sheets properly. Lesson learned.
