    About: Amarin Corporation PLC (AMRN)

That was a long long wait. Happy I retreated with my bruises years ago. REALLY NOT interested any more. Many other fresh fish in the frying pan currently (none of which are MJ - don't want to be barred from the US for life!) LOL

Happy marathon day. Watch Kim Smith.
The above from 4/18/2011. This morning AMRN is up 8.70 at 11.70, a 291% increase. I haven't owned it since 2011 or so but it's interesting.

Smith lead at 30K but faded. Good job tho.

    Theranos is finally, officially dead
The blood-testing start-up has said it will officially dissolve itself. Theranos, which went from being a Silicon Valley darling to a cautionary tale, told shareholders that it was in talks to sell its patents to its most recent lender, Fortress Investment Group, after breaching a loan covenant in a way that allows Fortress to foreclose on the company’s assets. Remaining cash, about $5 million, will go to the company’s other creditors.
The move isn’t surprising. Theranos had laid off most of its staff and its founder, Elizabeth Holmes, has been indicted on fraud charges. But the collapse means that the company’s star-studded list of investors — Rupert Murdoch, the Walton family of Walmart fame, and others — has now collectively lost $1 billion.

This was from NYT DealBook, dated Sept. 5, 2018.

ROFLMAO. Billy, you are a hoot! Actually, you'd think at least the Ortho guy would have some brains in this area. David Boies should be looking to hide his embarrassed red face about now.

Thank you for the articles. For those of us (including Mrs. BJ and Cleveland Clinic) who REALLY DO KNOW BETTER, makes me want to throw up. Yup, gotta go buy a black turtleneck so I can be a billionaire with accolades. Sounds like I can check all those boxes too (except for the green juices, ugh).

If my palms were not still sweaty from recent horrific personal experience in this space, might take a nibble under 6, preferably in lower part of range near 5.50. Volume should increase, as well as price in short term. See if you can take profit in a possible run-up to 11/11 (and earnings on 11/10, whew, what are they going to say? The future depends on approval?). I wouldn't hold through approval. Too unpredictable in this market. If holding through earnings, sell in AH before it gets halted.
River thank you so much......I'm sure your input will help many!

Please don't keep me in suspense! LOL Actually when I started we used ear lobe sticks for all the hematology. And yes, you are absolutely right about the finger sticks. BTW, for RBC and WBC counts we used diluting pipettes at the bedside (suck up the blood to the first mark, suck up the diluting fluid to the second mark, manually shake to mix well). Mrs. Billy doesn't know what fun she missed!

The Comeuppance. If you haven't been following this story, time to do so. It has been of special interest to me, as a former medical technologist for more years and more venipunctures than I care to admit to. Please Google Theranos for the ongoing sordid saga. I mean, I understand the possible ignorance of Henry Kissinger in this area, but The Cleveland Clinic??? Don't you people actually LOOK before you LEAP??? This story is from the NY Times this morning. When you get the inevitable NYT advert, use your back arrow to get to the story. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/10/30/bu...&nlid=47075250
