I have 32 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. HAIN:
Buy @ 63.46
Stop = 63.46 Target = 69
Capital at risk = 0.0%
A no risk trade because I screwed up an entry.
I was setting up an entry with a bracket order to buy at a higher price. (Looking for a break of yesterdays high) Somehow I triggered the entry at market so I moved the stop to breakeven.
I have to admit that you are the only person who can strike the fear of God into me and leave me sleepless. You know I am talking about AMRN. Yours truly, your fellow Canadian (dual citizen) from Waterloo, Ontario.
I’m having stop problems this morning.
Firstly I got shook out on EW; Traded as per plan but took more of a loss that I calculated. ½ hour later it ran up past my original stop calculation.
Loss of 1.7% or 0.5% of capital.
Secondly I faithfully set my stop for ODFL at the calculated price of 29.68 but being a little brain dead this morning I neglected to hit the transmit button. That cost me an extra 0.13% of my capital.
Loss of 2.3% or 0.53% of capital.
