52 week highs

Here we have 7 stocks all reaching 52 week highs yesterday 1/6/12.
MUI, PIR, FNB, ZUMZ, SIMO , My Favorite, LKQX and SCSS , another sweet one.

I would play them with a 5% Sell Limit order placed after buying at the market . Basically just take the money and run, as there is always another bus coming!

Billy cloudy and cold 46F .....not too bad.
Billie I like using www.bigcharts.com and using the 52 Week Highs as these stocks have MOJO ! I also use another 2 programs to see what stocks turn up with them .

Interesting that every analyst I have seen on TV in the last few days doing the annual forecast has called for gold to be between $2000 and $3000. Jim Cramer also seems to make a point nightly of having some exposure to gold. Part of the story for gold continuing to go up is the supply and demand issue. The gold that remains in the ground is going to be harder to find and more expensive to get to the surface. Here's hoping that's all true!

This time last year, they were all saying "the market" was going to go up 20-30% in 2011. Look how that turned out.

ULTA just had good earnings release and may be good for $75, SIMO has been one of my picks and it is still going strong!

Can I add one more to the list ....How about BDCO , a pipeline provider for transport of oil and gas in and around Texas. P/E of 6.....not bad and the chart says GO ........Check this tech analysis out http://www.stoxline.com/quote.php?symbol=bdco

I put in KMP it said it was a sell. It also has a 1 year target price of $117. It's at $83 now. How can a 40% increase be a sell?

ULTA may well go to new 52 week highs come March, if not before then.

Ulta should do well .......KMP My Dream Tai program says to sell, but it is very conservative ..... back on Dec 14, 2011 it issued a sell order , but then a BUY order on the 15th , perhaps you should hold for another day or 2 to get a confirmation.

Now follow me we are going to customoze the chart for $BPGDM

Up near the top where it says "SYMBOL" enter $BPGDM don't forget the dollar sign.

Now set the "RANGE for 2 years
Then For 'GRAPH TYPE' Enter Line solid , and then "LANDSCAPE"
Now below where it say "OVERLAYS" enter SIMPLE AVERAGE 9, 15 and last 200
Finally where it says "INDICATORS" enter into the 3 spaces RSI, PPO and ADX (This Last Part Is Optional )

NOW click on "UPDATE" and the $BPGDM graph should appear.

LOOK at the chart, and what do you see .You will see the Current Numerical Value for $BPGDM which is 13.79 !
If you read the article The Index is over bought at 80 and when it drops below 30 we have an OVERSOLD Condition . 13.79 indicates way oversold , and the upturn may signal that BIG BUCKS in the gold miner stocks is just around the corner!

The ABOVE picks as a whole did well......although there were losers, with ACHN UP 22.42%, IDIX UP 24.22%, CTESY UP 32.14% and IDOID 24.62% money could have been made.

Anybody buying Netflix lately? After taking a major hammering, it seems to be on the rebound with some good momentum. A little weak today I must admit. I don't see it getting back to its previous high as things are with this company but how about a reasonably quick 25% - anybody?

IMHO in a 2 down after a good 1 up. Needs to fill the gap, so maybe a 3 up to come if the market cooperates. Short term, you're right!

Vector Vest has a HOLD on EMC . Currently $22 Vector Vest says it is UNDERVALUED and should be worth $29.61. They recommend stop of $21.23.

Note below the chart in the PPO section .....how the DARK PPO line begins to turn UP , and also note Right below how the ADX line begins to go down......this is a positive sign! The stock should begin a journey back up to $25 IMHO!

Technology rules

I have always loved TECHNOLOGY and the neat new devices it produces. Surfing Yahoo I came across this post that shows an investor's interest in a great 3D replication stock DDD . Here is the comment , "R&D is only good if it produces valuable products...in the long run, it should help, but it could also fail. or a competitor can hand you your head! It is a risky proposition, and the investor has to be able to understand the risks...and hope for the reward!
