On May 6th I said this about BDSI: BDSI http://finviz.com/quote.ashx?t=bdsi&ty=c&ta=1&p=d Folks BDSI is not a 1 trick pony . They have one marketed drug plus 3 others in the pipeline; Look Here http://www.bdsi.com/Product_Pipeline.aspx
The Motley Fool had this to say about BDSI: " BioDelivery Sciences awaits word on its opioid dependence drug
Small-cap biotech BioDelivery Sciences is hoping to have the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approve its New Drug Application, or NDA, for Bunavail by June 7 as a treatment for opioid abuse. The company believes Bunavail could see peak sales of up to $250 million a year as an alternative to Suboxone, a sublingual film consisting of ingredients similar to Bunavil. According to BioDelivery, Suboxone generated over $1 billion in sales in the past year as a treatment for opioid dependence.
What's key to understand is that Bunavil's primary difference is that it's placed inside the cheek instead of under the tongue like Suboxone. And given that Bunavil appears to be a bioequivalent of Suboxone per the clinical data, I don't see this regulatory review as a major hurdle to approval. In light of BioDelivery's tiny market cap of $355 million compared with Bunavil's commercial potential, you may want to get this stock on your watch list."
ON FRIDAY BDSI RECEIVED FDA APPROVAL FOR Bunavail! WATCH what happens on Monday. http://finviz.com/quote.ashx?t=bdsi&ty=c&ta=1&p=d

Many who have this nerve disease have used medical marijuna with success. Their pain was dramatically reduced. It remains to be seen what the pot is doing to the rest of their body. Not sure if I want to start using it.
Regarding pot profits, this is a boon to governments. They will tax the heck out of sales. They will be in favor of medical marijuna.

That really stinks, Tim. I know neurontin has been used for nerve pain. Also sometimes helpful is Cymbalta, effexor or Elavil. Some have been helped with high doses of B vitamins. Some people use topamax but that has some very strange side effects on some people. Gives them such extreme irritability and anger problems. Wasn't worth it to the ones that I knew. My daughter has Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome, otherwise known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy and she will certainly vouch for you that nerve pain is a real bitch! She is getting some relief with Fentanyl patches, effexor and dilaudid. Her wrists were crushed by a psychotic patient when she worked as an ICU nurse. Destroyed her career. ETRM Has some good news" EnteroMedics Inc. (NASDAQ: ETRM) has a huge binary event scheduled for June 17. An FDA panel will discuss its neuroblocking device that is used to help in the treatment for obesity. At an FDA panel, companies meet with assembled experts and usually with the aim of presenting positive clinical trial information and data. Typically then the panel will vote up or down on the drug or product. This is not to be confused with FDA approval meeting. Typically, FDA officials will take the panels' recommendations under consideration, but even if the vote is negative, it does not mean approval will not happen. Regional boutique firm Craig-Hallum is bullish on the stock and the company's chances at the upcoming panel. The firm has a $6 price target on the stock, and the consensus target is $4.80. Shares were at $1.78 Friday afternoon"

Biopharma stocks are risky, but there are some that act as drug royalty companies.
THRX is one of them. What Does This Company Do?
Theravance Inc., is a biopharmaceutical company with a pipeline of internally discovered product candidates and collaborations with pharmaceutical companies.
THRX has no manufacturing facilities, no expensive research operations yet manages to collect a steady stream of royalty checks. They will begin paying a 25 Cent Dividend this quarter, and future growth prospects for the company look good.
Perhaps this is one to buy and tuck away into a Roth Ira.

I am holding the course with ETRM ......I think ETRM is being manipulated to shake out the weak hands. NO ONE can be sure the FDA advisory committee will render a favorable decision , but I am optimistic!
