WHAT is the ABSOLUTE BEST PERFORMING STOCK OF ALL TIME?

According to one pundit on the web that honor belongs to the Mighty MO , or Altria formerly know as Philip Morris. PM is now an offshoot of the mighty MO, and it PM is now Phillip Morris. I tend to prefer PM over MO these days because PM is now selling the cancer sticks in Europe and Asia, and those people smoke like chimneys!
I do not smoke myself , but I cannot render judgement on those who do. I t all comes down to a matter of choice. Many choose to do drugs, gamble , drink alcohol , smoke and chase after women. I do not utilize drugs , or smoke but I have been guilty of participating in the other 4 vices.
Oh well no one is perfect.
Why is MO considered the best stock of all time? Consider the fact that had you purchased $1,000 of MO stock in 1925 and held till today while reinvesting all dividends , you would now have the tidy sum of one quarter of a BILLION dollars. No other stock can match that performance!

Phoenix, I also hate smoking and the smell of cigarettes on clothing, but can't control what others do. I read a similar story about PM maybe 5 years ago, not really sure of the time period but my thoughts were "is it too late to get in now?" I bought a few shares, reinvested divs., bought more on dips. Sold some here and there. in no time I was up over 100%. Keep adding from time to time adding to cost basis but always increasing amount reinvested. Right now +75%. I'd recommend starting a position even a small one. You won't regret it.

Billie I agree .......PM will be great going forward. If a young person can tuck away some PM stock into a ROTH IRA .....he will be one happy camper at retirement

I bot MO in 1985. It bot my husband and I a designer living room and dining room, which I still am using. Don't own any now, but it was good to me.

River friend of mine had bought MO years ago.......It paid for his summer home in New Hampshire....and now provides over $30,000 a year in dividends ....the guy reinvested and never touched the principle ....which is now HUGE!

Folks the Bird Flu is spreading in China, 14 DEAD so far, and SVA may get the nod to provide the much needed vaccine for this terrible situation.
