A pundit on the web seems to indicate that stocks, selling for more than $12 per share , making 52 week highs, rising at a smooth 45 Degree Angle UP, have a great chance of rising higher.
The stock should also have the capability of moving $3, $4, $5 or more dollars in a 2-10 day period. It should also be making Higher Highs and Higher Lows.

Nevertheless the stock in question I mentioned yesterday is HOTR or Chanticleerholdings , Inc a company that operates 6 "Hooters" restaurants as a franchise in international markets. Hooters of America is a PRIVATE company, and as such issues no shares of stock are issued to the general public.
There is a caveat and that is HOTR was suspended from trading from 9/12 - 1/16/13. The CFO at that time was accused of misconduct , subsequently let go and replaced with a NEW CFO and counsel.
Yes there was an issue , but I feel that has all been resolved and with new restaurants scheduled to open in 2013 , in affluent areas.....the future does look bright for HOTR

I have not purchased HOTR yet, but I like what I see.

Well the first thing I noticed when I brought it up on my screen was an 8% spread between the bid and the ask. 2.54 bid 2.78 ask; could be a tough one to exit quickly.

Looks like it was issued at $15 in 2005 and has been in a steady down trend.

There is also something wonky about the numbers on Finvis; Look at the sales Q over Q and then look at the numbers that matter. Returns on assets, equity, and investment; and the margins. Even with a huge increase in sales and a 50% increase in earnings, the margins are still negative.

Technically it has been in an up trend for the last couple of months but it is coming up to the 200 ma. Now that it’s trading again how many investors will bail when it shows any weakness.

Probably turn out to be a great trade but too many red flags for this old dog.

Yes HOTR would take time to develop , and if you bought it you may be sitting on dead money for an undetermined amount of time.
Probably best to just WATCH HOTR for the time being.
The Volume definitely has to INCREASE in order to make any meaningful move!

Yep I like that better; not today mind you but on a pullback.

This one has earnings although the earnings growth isn’t there to justify the recent move up. Possibly stellar earnings will be announced May 6th.

Buy the rumor ; Sell the news.
