Phoenix, I hope you're working on the Phoenix half of the Phoenix/billy top 20 stocks for 2016. I've only got 3 in the can so there's a lot of work to be done. Will again have a monthly or more often YTD update . Starting date Jan. 2nd. My port won't be too speculative. Goal is a modest +15% per each stock. Secretly expecting much more.

The following stocks should do well on the "Jump Out" when the market opens.
Folks GILD took a 14% Hit yesterday , but don't let that drop rattle your bones. With a great drug pipeline GILD will rise again ......Lock And Load! Now may be a time to buy at a bargain price.

Phoenix, To make things more interesting and take advantage of trending industries I propose that for our 2015 stock picks we can replace stocks that drop 10% at any time and each quarter we can roll over the dollar amount from one stock into a new stock or an existing pick. Starting with $5000 in each stock, theoretically ending the year with 1 to 10 stocks each. Maybe one stock worth a small fortune. There are a few I would have gotten rid of in 2014 had it been possible. Slowly nearing my 10 stock selection.

Maybe we can start this on a new thread as it is hard to find previous posts with all the information on your other fine picks. I'll gladly keep track of any transactions and the resulting bounty we're sure to accumulate.

Billie excellent site to enter your picks in real time and keep track of all your VIRTUAL Picks .....I will utilizing this site experimenting to determine how my stock picks , compare to my son who will use the same site and his Villanova Marketing and Finance degree and CFA credentials all working under the same rules. January 2015 will start with a report at month's end listing of all trades and any profit or losses for that month .We will both start with a virtual $500,000 account on January 1/2/15. I was using www.updown.com, but as soon as I was outperforming the S&P my trades would not process . Don't know what happened, but screw that site!
Perhaps it would be interesting to post Mr. Market's NEW stock picks also beginning in 2015, utilizing the same site and rules . $500,000 virtual money using certain amounts could be placed into a portfolio and held for his required 15% Upside!
it would be an interesting learning experience.
Billie any interest in posting Mr Market's Picks at least for the month of Jan 2015? if this is not working out, the whole experiment will be scrapped!
Hopefully all will post positive results! All will start with a clean slate, and $500K virtual money !

Phoenix, I like NOAH except for 2 things. It doesn't pay a div. The majority of companies in this business do.....and it's Chinese. Could be an asset or a liability. I once owned a Chinese engine maker that sent me a $200 dividend out of the blue. I was shocked.

Nobody bit on my miserly, I mean generous, limit bid only .20 under the ask so I bought my first blockbuster stock for 2015. All will be revealed Jan. 1st. It has appeared in at least the last 2 Mr.Market dumps.
