Buying the Best of 2013

It seems as if everyone is coming out with a list of the best stocks to buy in 2013. What if someone bought them all or at least 10 of the best from a compilation of lists? You'd think they'd at least break even.

Here's my proposal. Post a list of the best of 2013 stocks from any online or offline publication. Maximum 10 stocks. I'll go through the lists, pick a total of 10 stocks I agree with, and buy at least $1000 of each of the 10. To avoid disaster I'll have a 15% stop loss on any individual stock, otherwise each will be held until Dec. 31st. I'll find a list to post shortly and please everyone, find a list I can pick from. The price should be a minimum of $1 / share.

Deadline is Jan. 15th. I'll post my choices and keep a running total at least monthly.

CMN was an old mr market pick years ago. This stock is relatively thin and it moves quickly - chart has an upward rising sine wave rhythm to it - great potential to make a lot of $$$ on this stock

Here's a list compiled by James Glassman from Kiplingers Personal Finance. He has a great track record although he admits to having an off year in 2012, only a 13% gain. He has picked these from a group of his favorites. A lot of them are from successful mutual fund managers.

I've gone over 100 different "best of" stocks from several lists and am doing research . Have some definite buys but still not sure on all. Will post final selections and hope to be finished with all buying by Jan 24th.
