OPK is indeed interesting. They have one promising drug in phase 3 trials with data expected mid-2014 and in the mean time the CEO continues to make notable purchases on the open market.

At the same time, recent news over the weekend claiming vitamin D supplements are worthless (and may be harmful) are driving the share price down, as this drug focuses on regaining vitamin D for those who have a legitimate Vitamin D deficiency; something completely different than taking a supplement.

This was from August 2013 and the individual regularly buying shares: "I am pleased to report that these pivotal trials with Rayaldy Capsules are progressing as planned toward completion in the first half of 2014," stated Phillip Frost, M.D., OPKO's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "Top-line data are expected in mid-2014. We believe Rayaldy™ will prove to be superior to high monthly doses of prescription vitamin D2, a common therapeutic approach which has been shown unreliable in correcting vitamin D insufficiency in patients with chronic kidney disease and generally ineffective in controlling elevated levels of parathyroid hormone. We look forward to advancing the standard of care for this patient population when Rayaldy™ is ultimately approved for marketing."

Next earnings report will have huge impact. Even if earnings not great, guidance could be with anti clotting drugs. OPK is in a very strong industry group but currently may only rank in the top 100 of its industry. Good eye spotting it, Lucavia.

CLMS - $12.00 is resistance level. See if it pops over that.
HLF - 33,515 shares bought
MEP - over 11,000 shares bought by the Director. New IPO.
AGCO - nearly 350,000 shares bought. Nice pop with volume. It may be undergoing a trend change.
OPK - CEO continues to buy his own companies stock on a consistent basis. He now owns over 139,340,659 shares!
PSMI - Recently seen a change in trend with some volume building.
ALLE - Recent IPO and nice uptrend.

These should make some excellent selections.

I am interested to hear of others experience in trading by following insider buying. Is it worth following some of the recommendations in seeking a short 5% or more? I see there are a few websites that are set up to notify you of insider buying. Anyone use insider training as their main approach to investing?

Interesting filings today for INO. Seems they are thinking of doing a reverse split. At the same time it seems insiders loaded up on shares at the current price level.

There is some nice insider buying going on in the following stocks:

CACB - Low PE
CLMS - Large insider buying and support at the $13.00 level
TSC - Good growth possibility. Little wild.
CAK - Lots of insider buying. If it gets through 0.80 it will run to 0.90. Over 0.90 and the sky is the limit.
CNSI - Large insider buying going on.
CHK - Very reputable company. Trend is nicely up.

I have not followed most of these symbols, BUT, a year ago Lucavia turned me on to OPK with this post.
I did my due diligence, bought and sold OPK twice (for profit) in 2014 and still holding shares I purchased for $8.82 on 8/21/14.

This morning OPK will open with a 52 week high (as the bid is 11.84) and I want to publicly thank Lucavia for sharing with me as well as thank Mr. Market for providing the venue to create such a cool community for everyone to share their thoughts and make money together.

i am with you, have been for a long while about 6 months just waiting. Sold 1/3 friday and sold 1/3 covered feb 14.5 and 1/3 covered feb 15 today
